#282Ok let's go one by one here.
I never said you said you were smarter than anyone. However when you continually question others' intelligence, you're in effect portraying yourself as smarter.
Carolina clearly took their foot off the pedal. That's part of the human element of the game. It's not easy to keep your foot on the gas, especially when you loosen up coverage and are protecting a huge lead. Let's keep in mind who they were playing also. Probably the best team of the past 3-4 years.
I figured you'd whip out your record and units and all that jazz. That's cool. I'm happy for you. I've been profitable in the NFL this year too so I have house money to do whatever I want as well. I've been very clear for months now that Arizona is the best team in the league. They've been my super bowl choice since around early November and I haven't wavered off that opinion.Comment -

#284Again, flat out wrong. Patriots have been to 4 straight conference championship games and won 12 regular season games each year, the Seahawks have won 11, 13, 12, and 10 games and only made the conference championship game twice. 2 additional conference championship game appearances trumps one extra super bowl appearance (and the gap will only grow when the Patriots go to the super bowl this year). Any way you slice it, the Patriots have had more success. Time to lay down and rot.Comment -

2012 they beat a crappy Texans team to make the AFC title game (where they were destroyed by the Ravens at home)
2013 they beat a shitty Colts team and then couldn't hang with Denver (who was destroyed the the Super Bowl by SEATTLE)
2014 they beat that same shitty Colts team
You're trying to hard to create an argument here. Seattle has clearly been the class of the league for several years, as has New England.Comment -

I completely agree that it's easy to let up and play not to lose when you're ahead 31-0. But to be out-scored 24-0 in the process at home trying to seal the deal? An on-side kick away from possibly having to win in overtime? Inexcusable.

#287Next week is the "spot" that Carolina secondary will get tested and hopefully give up the big plays downfield that Az loves to run. That defense is beatable. Go back to what drew brees did to that defense in NO, if the saints had a functioning NFL defense that game would not have been close. Same thing in the second half of yesterdays game.......it's a trend with that team, and it's going to finally catch up to themComment -

#289There are about 4 posters total who I question on a regular basis. You have a distorted view of how often I talk down to posters here.
I'm going to disregard that last statement, because this year's Seahawks have been good, but not great, basically all year, and it really doesn't matter what they've done before this season with regards to this team/matchup.

You've been winning in the NFL this year but you don't have a thread? Why?Comment -

#290NoCo are you leaning Arizona ?
I will need to be swayed in order to counteract my Panthers bet.
And I wouldn't bother unless we get LM their way I could conceivably wiggle out.Comment -

I think it's going to be a great game, and Arizona has the type of complete team that could give the Panthers a serious run. Just wish they were 100% healthy.Comment -

#295Seahawks aren't the team they used to be. No beast mode for Seattle. So Carolina could be overvalued based on how their last game played out.

#313Aren't they 10-4 ATS this year?
Why not back good teams like Carolina and Golden State while they're winning instead of "waiting for a perfect spot to fade them." It seems like you would make more money that way. Most people lose a lot trying to guess when a good team won't cover.
Why not ride the gravy train until it runs out?Comment -
