I thought at one point like an idiot that I could do it someday, but of course it didn't work out.

I have posted this in the horse racing forum before.

I knew two successful professional gamblers (in this case, horses) fairly well and it is not a lifestyle that most would be able to deal with. It might sound like a pretty decent way to make a living, and for some, maybe it is, but for most, or anyone with a family, it's darn tough.

I doubt there is a 'handicapper' making 6 figures on SBR.

Well over 100 posters making 6 figures just hitting really off numbers at shit books (like SIA, Bodog), hitting +EV promos.

And certainly many posters making 6 figures doing the above and/or using a model to help them determine off numbers in other markets where just comparing the line to Pinnacle won't necessarily tell you the right side. I could name at least 20 posters doing this and I am sure there are many many more who just don't post much.

It is fukkin easy guys Start looking at books outside the A range

I do it for fun and usually only go about 5-10% of my income. I get stressed out on that alone, I can't imagine doing it for a living. Not something I would want to do with my life.

Now if I could go Biff from Back to the Future, I think it would be great.

Let me put it this way. i havent put money in a sports book for over a year and i am still betting with that money. The only reason i did it was to turn pro and i got denyed. The promo days are gone. Anybody making 6 figures from gambling isnt a memeber here. They have no time to be posting on any forums.

I just do it for extra tax free cash and am living very well off right now. You can see my 3 main sports are football, basketball and soccer. In the past 3 months I'm up $24 658 as I indicated with the red box.

I have put 2k into my Pinnacle over the past year and have been dumb not cashing out when I should have. I have about $400 left in there. Those are the only books I use.

99.9% of everyone here is a recreational gambler and lose. 0.01% here like to think they're professionals, but aren't. they lose more than the recreational gamblers in fact. 100% here lose.

I would think that of most "professional gamblers" ... do they have a job? maybe not, but they have income coming in from somewhere else, they gamble as a living, but all they are doing is budgeting and recycling their $ ... unless you went on a tear like a big field poker tourney, and won like 6-7 figures, invested it, and got sponsorship ... like the wsop winners ... then you can probably say, u made a living gambling
