    MARQUETTE is the best 2nd half team in the ncaa

    that makes 7 STRAIGHT 2nd half covers for marquette and none of them have even been close

    unbelievable stuff

    down 30-12 on the road at villanova

    fun to watch

    here's a breakdown of 2nd half big east scores for marquette
    41-40 over villanova
    27-44 at georgetown (rare flip-flop where marq blew 17 pt lead)

    tough loss on the hook there, i saw your other thread

    i waited and took marquette 2nd half -5 (so +5 for the game), they play like such crap in the 1st half so often that i knew i'd be better off waiting

    Two teams going in different directions, Seton Hall dropped 3 straight @ Nova, @ USF, and vs ND (in ugly fashion)

    Our Big men should be able to neutralize herb pope if they stay out of foul trouble. FuQuan Edwin will be the x factor, for the pirates that kid is deadly...

    However I took Louisville +115 they are starting to heat up.

    Of course Im naturally biased tho...

    yeah i think louisville is the much better team even with the injury situation. think i'll take louisville +107 but not sure yet (best i can find in my books)

    just being a great team doesn't make you easy money like marquette does, so far let's check what has happened today with the "top teams"

    #5 kansas - about to lose outright and certainly WON'T COVER

    and after the notre dame game (where opponent first half/marquette 2nd half only got a push) it's back to win-win

    de paul won 1st half outright, covering easily
    marquette dominated 2nd half and covered easily

    that makes 9-1 marquette 2nd half last 10 games and 4 straight opponent covers in the 1st half

    thing that stuck out to me in the 1st half was marquette let de paul get a quick 8-0 run on nothing but offensive rebounds, fast breaks, and layups.
    that NEVER happens against a team like depaul when marquette is playing hard.

    "gold out" here in milwaukee on saturday, cincinnati will have a huge advantage inside if gardner isn't back. but i think the same strategy will be in play again. either go cincy 1st half or pass, either take marquette 2nd half or pass.
    no reason to take marquette for the game, we all know if they cover the game it's probably because of the 2nd half at this point.
    things could change but for now the trend is your friend. if it appears marquette is going to play hard in 1st halves then the party will be over, but for now i really think these guys are getting down on purpose.
