Georgetown @ Pittsburgh 4 est on espn Discussion

Pitt -1 or -1.5 at most shops (-1 -112 at Pinny)

I have a feeling a lot of squares will be Georgetown here. Pitt has had such a bad stretch of games and 1-7 in Big East Play.

Woodall is finally back AND healthy for Pitt

Georgetown has had a week to prepare after a narrow win at home against Rutgers (52-50)

I can't remember the last time Pitt lost a home game at the Pete to a top ten opponent. But clearly this Pitt team has not shown any sort of home court advantage this year.

    thoughts?

Linemakers giving Pitt some respect, irrespective of the fact they have lost 8/9 games. Getting Woodall back is probably a factor, but something seems wrong here. They may be due for a big effort, but I am staying away. Might play the over.

I think its trappy and stay away too John. I was hoping the linesmakers DIDN'T give them respect here, thinking that the general public is gonna not really factor a healthy woodall into it too much. So I was hoping for Pitt to be a healthy 3-4 point dog here.

I'll watch, I'd love to take Georgetown it just smells fishy though

Agreed. Taking Georgetown looks so easy. Like you said, if Pitt was a 3/4 point dog, I would play them. But I would like feel a fool either way if I played it at 1.5. It will interesting to see if the line moves in a drastic direction.

they had woodall back when they played against louisville at home with espn gameday there and a huge crowd and they couldnt compete. Georgetown is much better then louisville. I just cant see pitt winning here...

    Couple things...

1)That was his first game back and he got 2 fouls in the first 5 minutes of the game.

    2) The crowd will be just as big today coming off a blow out win, the always pack the ZOO

    3) Also, GTown is not MUCH better than louisville.

    4) If this is your reasoning for how you cap games by comparing neutral opponents games from weeks past, then you might as well just withdraw the account now...

the Zoo has been very weak today. very quiet. I'm not counting on the Pete or the Zoo to help as much as they used to. Pitt is very weak on the blocks

Remember when everyone said that Pittsburg -10 last week was too many points and jumped on Providence? Pittsburg looked good in that game and won by 12. Pittsburg -1 is the play.

Everyone will see a Top 10 ranked team GETTING points to an unranked team that is 1-7 in their conference...

Over easy. Pitt plays no defense and threes are due to drop for them

G Town winning this game has nothing to do with my points that I am making referring to your post.

Of course Gtown can win this game they are #10 in nation for a reason, I just disagree with your reasoning and think its a very good spot for Pitt to putt together back to back wins b4 the backyard brawl...

Also gameday crew was there all day for the louisville/pitt game so the crowd wont be bigger today then that.

They are not much better, we played them down to the wire. This conference has so much parity, stop capping the past and try to cap the future...

They are slightly better than Louisville,

    Gtown -2/2.5 on neutral court

    georgetown is ridiculously overrated

that being said, what has pitt done to convince you they can win this game? their guard coming back could make a huge impact but who knows, no angle here, pass

    I took:

PITT -1.5 (like what I see)
    WYOMING -1 (win)
LSU +10 (need some luck, technically winning at half but KU is damn good)

Over easy. Pitt plays no defense and threes are due to drop for them
    Georgetown has 22 points, haha.
