    A Good Book/Read For Vacation

Heading out next week to the warmth. Anyone have a suggestion for a good betting/gambling read? Something along the lines of The odds or Bringing Down the House?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

2nd Recommendation for Lay the Favorite by Beth Raymer. Half way through it and I'm pleasantly surprised.

Smart money was decent but Konik has a bad habit of being a whiny bitch.

If you like poker King of a Small World is probably the best poker fiction I've read.

Gonna go with the double recommended "Beth Raymer's A Memoir of Gambling."

    Opie, thx for the tip!

I wanted to get it, even if there are only a few juicy nuggets. I was put off by mixed reviews at Amazon.com, but I now believe the Amazon reviews are not reliable. You just don't know who has an agenda and might be trying to knock a competitor book.
