#737A few notes from reading this thread....
1. I agree with the one guy that was questioning how they knew exactly what to do to break out....basically working from the outside in. That is very weird. How would have they known exactly what to do? Did the 50 year old skank box know that much? She doesn't seem very smart.
2. I find it weird so many of you are obsessed with some convicts penis size but I'm not surprised...
3. I think these guys were pretty smart and had a back up plan. Their sheer planning tells me that. They just used the 50 year old skank box to get out and that's it. She seems pretty damn stupid. These guys knew they couldn't count on her after they broke free. They had to have a backup plan.
4. Some people have said they may have went to Europe. How in the hell is that possible? Last I checked, it's hard to get on a plane if you're a convict....
5. A $100,000 reward is joke. That's not much money these days. I'm not going to go through life paranoid that someone might have a hit out over that. I'm not even sure I would do it if it was a million although I probably would if it came down to it.
6. It seems logical they probably split up and went in different directions. Running for Canada seems like the logical choice although I haven't put much thought into it.Comment -

#742DAY 13. No mention of the story on any national newscast.
An ex guard at the prison says the inmates and Joyce Mitchell (the accomplice) were "very comfortable around each other" and "they had to have help".

#745seems like these two POS's aren't going to get caught for a long time. Pretty scary not knowing where they are and what they're capable of doing. Joyce Mitchell should get a legitimate jail sentence for this.Comment -

#746The U.S. Marshals Service has put escapees Richard Matt and David Sweat on its 15 Most Wanted Fugitives List and the manhunt, now in its 14th day, has widened to encompass the entire country. But many believe the escapees remain in the heavily wooded regions of New York's Adirondack Mountains and Vermont's Green Mountains.Comment -

#747these guys were playing her from the start... and the planning from the outside in and how could they have known where the pipe was going to lead? you are doing LIFE so your day pretty much exists of thinking of ways to get the fuk out. Other guys spend all day thinking of ways to make weapons that are pretty good for what they are working with some tweak their radios and TV's and shit, if you think about it and you spend 10 years in a prison thinking and gathering info you could find out a lot.Comment -

#749I think about what the military taught them to do. What position the leaders of our government put them in. It has to harden them tremendously! There is no way they can come home again and be the same person they were when they left. It scares me how many innocent people could be collateral damage. I am glad I don't know how to do what these soldiers were taught to do!Comment -

#752Did you know that at any time in America there are roughly 15 serial killers on the loose? Thats kinda scary. These guys sont scare me because they know what prison is about, are much older and just want to lay low and stay free. I doubt either ever kills again.

You think they're okay now because they're older and know what prison is about? Really??
Not sure if torturing, killing, and dismembering another person can really be blown off as a youthful mistake. Same goes for the scumbag motherfukker that shot a police officer 24 times.
You think those murdered guys wife and kids are cool with it because now these guys are older?Comment -

#759are you fuking kidding?? ok the military teaches are soldiers to protect our country, many of them will never come home the same. One of my best friends did two tours and he is not the same that's for sure. Usually guys that come home from war don't hurt other people they hurt themselves with drugs and alcohol trying to forget the shit they seen and had to do. So don't compare our vets who are protecting the country that lets these two scumbags not be put to death and this story to rest. Not even close to the same
I have no doubt whatsoever that these convicts would kill in an instant and would never become anywhere close to pyschologically stable.Comment -

#760It wasn't my intention to compare war veterans to these two convicts. My thoughts were solely about the after effects of war on the soldier's pyschology and the quality of life for them and their families after being through war experiences. Politicians and Generals who send soldier's to fight for our country under value what this does to a soldier long term.

#762Love this thread, and it might be the only one since JayVegas's Vegas thread I've read from start to finish.
What I've found so interesting is how we feel about this whole thing. Some want them to get caught ASAP and fry. Others want them to get away and live their days out on a Mexican beach somewhere.
And the story has everything: A clean break, a fat broad, a dimwitted husband, a backwards dumbass small-town police force, everything.
I can understand both sides actually. Americans love prison break stories, it's just natural that we're putting ourselves in their shoes and seeing if they would do the some things we would do. We all become psychiatrists. We're detached enough from the crimes themselves that we don't even care about what they did anymore, which is scary. Yet here we are.
I'm still saying hunter's cabin (hunter's cabins are usually very stripped down and basic) in Vermont with the help of a friend. I'm sticking to it. It's more plausible than some of the theories here.Comment -
