Yeah that sure affected Joe Montana and his mediocre arm strength as well as affecting Steve young in such a huge way

49ers are going to get shitstomped. The D's are almost identical based on the shit teams the 9'ers have played. The problem for the 9'ers is the 180 extra yds in the air the Saints average and Thomas and Sproles are beasts. SF is going to get eaten alive with all the 10-20 yd passes Brees throws all day. Booya!

I never said quarterbacks can't play well there. I'm just pointing out some facts about the stadium. People are confused if they're looking up the weather forecast for San Francisco in hopes of finding the playing conditions at Candlestick. Since Brees has shown a notable difference in performance between playing indoors and outdoors, I think the fact that he's playing in a stadium known for being the windiest venue in sports is at least somewhat relevant.

only watched one 49ers game this year, the one against the ravens. 49ers were terrible. but that was against his brother. this is a tough game to predict, offense against defense. would love to bet saints but i am still thinking about it.

against the 5 playoff teams they faced this season, the 49ers gave up an average of 13.2 points (BAL, CIN, DET, PITT, NYG).

against the 6 playoff teams they faced this season, the Saints scored an average of 37.5 points (ATLx2, GB, NYG, DET, HOU).

Took them at -3.5. I'm done buying points in the NFL for small spreads.

Calling all conspiracy theorists- there has been a lot of discussion/debate/dislike towards the rule changes in football, saying it favors the offense heavily now and that all that matters is a qb. The top 2 seeds in the playoffs have the #31 and #32 ranked defenses. NFL 'purists' would be heavily put off if the saints lit up the best remaining defense and on the road. The NFL needs to maintain its fanbases by having a healthy mix of potent offense with stingy defense. Do you think the multi billion dollar money machine will let the remaining defensive hope for the NFC go 1-and-done? 9ers +3.5

*disclaimer: I don't believe the nonsense I just posted, its just another viewpoint to examine

I know that niners are the "sharp" play but I just can't bring myself to bet on Alex Smith in a playoff game ( I haven't taken the niners all year)

    Saints -3.5

I agree CK, I see the Saints winning convincingly today. I've got a 1 unit bet (ALL bets should be 1 unit fellas!) on this but I also do remember Marshawn Lynch tearing it up on the run that showcased his stiff-arm from God in the last years playoff game that the Saints "should've" won easily as well. Ok, I'm done talking about this, getting an image of Frank Gore doing the same. GL today guys! Remember it's only ONE game, bet wisely!!

Can't see Alex Smith taking them to the promise land.. sorry.. Is the 49ers defense is going to shut down the Saints? No way..

couldnt lay off moneyline at -163 saints...I think they win by more then 3.5, but the 49ers could turn this into a very ugly game and saint winning by a 2 minute drive to win by a small margin

    Love the Saints today.

Niners thrived off turnovers, but a closer look shows majority were accumulated againt poor teams.

Saints will minimize Gore. Sproles will be effective and tough to contain on mush turf. Poor Niners mgmt showing lack of faith in team by over watering field will backfire. Saint receivers know where they are going and more than once you will see them streaking down the field wide open. Do you think Brees will miss them?

Niner bettors will regret taking Smith over Brees and will wonder what they could have been thinking. Nice season by Niners, but to many weapons on Saints O.

    Saints by 7

Juice on the spread is moving like crazy. About 10 minutes ago, Saints were -3.5 at +100 juice, then it went up to +105, then up to +110, now it is up to +112.

And of course on the other side, 9ers are up to -132.

Does this mean anything? I think a lot of the juice is due to the line being at 3.5 (hence why NO is getting +110 and SF is getting -130, I think most people on NO are buying the half point).<input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">
