I can think of many things that are far superior to guys on the Internet who post under a girls name and photo. You are the Brock Landers of politics. The only difference is I think Brock Landers is a pretty decent guy

Really, I heard this same argument about the USSR. Later we found that the IBM were only shells. Later we found they were unable to feed their people. Later we found it was only BS. Let's give China some time to fail before we tell everybody they are superior to us. My God they are poisoning their people daily and if you aren't careful you might just be poisoned by their products too. Not impressed so far. India might overtake them in the next couple decades.

Not a day where Emily doesn't try to belittle the US and spit some anti US propaganda. He should pretty much move to a 3rd world country since this one sucks so bad.

China vs. US would be like Bama vs. LSU the other night

Many in this thread dont grasp how fast China is improving with a 1.3 billion population that's 99% homogenous, and motivated. Compared to 300 million divided sloth composed of every color under the sun. No contest. Not to mention they avg 20+ points higher IQ and arent 15 trillion in debt

China is not a threat to USA. USA dont give a fukk about China. Ofcourse China would beat us in a war but that would likely never happen. We have enough problems here in America to worry about.

They would absolutely break a sweat, because any type of negative effects on the US economy would be disastrous for China.

Not in the short/medium term it isn't. Productivity growth has been in double digits for nearly a decade.

Inflation will continue be a problem but that comes down to a lack of raw materials and property bubbles, not excessive demand in the consumer sector.

If Chinese growth slumps substantially it will only be because the Western economies go down the toilet.

If china quit exporting to the US they would lose tons of profit but it wouldn't cripple their economy because the rest of the world also consumes Chinese goods. The US would literally come to a stand stiff and it would take 30 to 40 years to restart the American manufacturing sector.

Which is the entire point. They grow because we grow. They lend us money so we can cover their trade surplus by purchasing their goods. Its a mutually beneficial relationship.

Have to agree with Sunde if it came to a fight.

Agree with Walters video, FCK China. They lie, steal, cheat and give us inferior products.

Fck the assholes who signed the agreements. We can't rely on the govt to fix this shit,
because they caused it. WE can fix this. BUY AMERICAN! Read the package before buying.
If it's designed, made or assembled here, buy it.

The only way to meet the China problem is via education. This isn't something new guys. When the USSR challenged us Kennedy met the challenge with a science and math education blitz. The country accepted and the rest is history. That is what is needed again. However, we can't agree on the details and the financing and are held back because of political paralysis. War is out of the question and so is economic war because of the world economy. Start another huge push with science and math education starting in early elementary and this problem will become manageable.

............ which is where the unsustainability comes in. That is not mutually beneficial in the long run.

As domestic demand picks up along with that from other parts of Asia, US/European consumption becomes less and less of a factor.

lolol dante what world do you live in. -250 youre a 55 year old white liberal guppie

US in the 60s isnt remotely comparable. Then there was a base, unified population with a strong culture and ethic that could be worked with. Today it's a decadent cluster fuk. Education huh? You think youre going to get the keeds in the inner city to learn? You think trash public schools all over the country willl turn zombies into geniuses with a wave of the DOE's wand?

You may be correct sir, if education isn't the answer than the answer may be--all is lost. I hope you are incorrect, I still have hope in our country and I still believe the answer is education.

It certainly won't be with a wand wave it will take commitment and desire and a fundamental change in education and attitude. Very difficult I agree but not impossible.

BTW, your 250 pretty close, missed a bit on the age.

The average Chinese citizen would pay their life savings to live in USA. Unless you have spent time in mainland you have no idea how messed up the place is. The public is in far worse shape than we are. People like Emily who leave the house to buy tv dinners have no clue what really is going on outside the news they see and believe on tv.

China just wants money. They are conent to let USA be world superpower. They don't want small countries begging them for foreign aid or getting involved in human right issues. Their government is as corrupt as ours and the military has zero leaders on the same page.

    sharp post.

468 million Chinese live on less than $2 a day, that is just .75 cents higher than the standard world poverty rate. The poverty rate dollar amount for the United States is $22,350.

How many of those 468 million in China would actually stand up and defend that country? you can only oppress people so much.

Right so we can all become droned out, grade grubbing, test stressing zombies like the Chinese students - with almost ZERO interpersonal skills or emotional quotient?

News flash - China isn't thriving economically because all of the educated, white collar, service industry jobs are flooding their country, they're thriving because of the power of PEOPLE. During economic development, nothing aids more than a strong labor force and a large unemployed base of citizens that you can plug into factory seats. It's the age old path that every DEVELOPED country has to take - the transfer of people from the AGRARIAN societies into INDUSTRIAL society.

We already run the companies that the Chinese laborers are making the goods for. We own the processes, the machinery, the rights. Lack of education is not something IMO that affects Americans as much as we say - especially when it comes to comparisons with China. It's an abstract notion that we try to emphasize. Sometimes it's just time for a country to develop. With 5 times the amount of people in China, they should clearly and easily be the world economic superpower. They are not, and they still have a long way to go before they are.

Don't get me wrong, we need to always keep a strong educational base but that's not the answer here. Our secondary and university education system is one of, if not the best on the planet. I truly believe, in terms of sheer numbers of persons and population, that China SHOULD be the world superpower. It's not a matter of IF, just a matter of WHEN. For anyone who's been to or lived in the Mainland, and even traveled a few miles outside of their metropolitan city, they would be able to see that that time, is a LONG TIME from now.

Seriously though, Chinese citizens are 100% banned from owning any type of firearm - penalties ranging from dozens of years to LIFE in prison. I can guarantee that there are more guns among the citizens of say....Houston, Texas, than the mass of the Chinese citizens combined.

Not to mention, 3 Chinese soldiers equals one swoll marine.
