Congrats Barry Larkin on the HOF-Top 10 SS All Time easily

glad he got in...hate all the people that overlook him because ripken right before him, and playing in the same league as an old ozzie smith stole his all star starts and GG's.

Then you had cheaters like arod, tejeda, etc right after that made his 30-30 season look like nothing.

Think it is a case that someone had to get in.

    Anyone.

Heck yeah man. Old school guy from back in the days of the Big Red Machine! Nice that he finally got in! I still say those sons a bithches should let Pete Rose in. No matter wtf he did, compared to shit others players have been caught doing, ie. steroids, lying, womanizing, writing bullshit tell all books, Pete was a fuk'in saint. All should be forgiven and he's still one of the greatest players who ever played the game.

Very happy he got in. One of the most under-rated and least talked about great ballplayers in history.

From a different vote. Larkin is pretty marginal as a HOF and benefitted from a weak year, but congrats to him.

Voted in by special committee earlier in the season last year. So someone was going although he is being represented by family. It's not disputable Larkin's OPS does not lie. Joined Wagner, Cronin, and Jeter. Good group i'd say.

Props to Barry. Some of the HOF snobs will say that he was a marginal HOF'er.

I liked him. One of the better players of his generation.

Definitely preferred him to Ripken, who wobbled on his knees to keep the streak going.

This was good to see...Larkin seems like an all around good guy...his baseball skills speak for themselves...

Did you see next years ballot??? A whole list of cheaters...

Shortstop of the 90's, and a very class act to boot...

Perusing stats from players of the Larkin era...holy shit, Wade Boggs was a magician, LOL. .415 OBP

I'm still not sure what was weirder. 1986 World Series Game 6, one strike away? Or 1988 WS Game 1, Gibson hits the HR on one leg?
