    Bodog.eu players moving to Bovada.lv

Bodog changing domain name for US players

Bodog (SBR rating A) is changing their domain name for US players. Bodog.eu players will be able to access their accounts at www.Bovada.lv. Bodog is in the process of migrating all affected player accounts to the new website. Though the domain itself is changing, Bodog's US players will have the same software, platform, customer service and betting options to choose from. Bodog released a statement to all .eu players this morning addressing the change. | Full Bodog statement

SBR Lou - how about posting a warning to players about the slow-pay issues BoDog are having? I recognize they are advertisers here, but there's a bunch of players waiting a long time now to get paid. Would be good to let your readers know about these issues.

I'm only aware of one issue via a certain processor that Bodog's already been in touch with the player on.

Anyone with an issue that hasn't done so, should fill out this form.

I'm confused... Isn't Bodog closing US player accounts on Dec 31st? I have been drawing my account down to zero because I thought they were closing to US customers. Are they spinning off a site which will keep US players? What is going on?

funny how lou wanted you to remember they are rated A here, far from that, all about the money they pay for that rating

this place is far from an A rated book, SBR is lying to all of us about this book, and you need to make your own decisions instead of trusting this site anymore. Hate to say it but the truth hurts.

Their website says "As Seen On Yahoo Sports, USA Today, ESPN". How is that possible? The site just went live.

Think of it as a name change. US players can now log into their old Bodog accounts at Bovada (SBR rating A).

As the wire and statement indicated, mostly everything's the same, including any fixed HTML templates.

Yes but, not surprisingly, their deposit/payout methods, are limited to those that are common for US players.

Actually no. The Bovada site will not be open to players from the UK, Canada, as well as the majority of Europe and Asia.

Well that is a great start. I was specifically told the opposite this morning.

Quite aside from that, given that this organisation now has no affiliation with Bodog, how would they know if I have an account with Bodog.co.uk or not?

I think what lou is saying is that bovada will be only for US players, that is if you are not in the US you will have to use the respective site to play, .ca for canada, co.uk for uk etc

Oh god some of u guys are stupid. This is obviously because of U.S. issues here, its the same place and safe the same. They did that so bodog could still service the U.S. without the hassles. Some people saying they see a red flag, lol how dumb can one be.

To start - the Bovada.LV Customer Service team is ready and available to answer your questions at 1-888-263-0000, or you can shoot an email to service@bovada.lv.

A couple quick responses to some of the concerns in this thread:

Yes, we are excited to announce that the Bovada.LV site is now live! The big change is really just the brand name. Previously Morris Mohawk Gaming Group licensed the use of the Bodog Brand to operate, but we will now operate under the Bovada Brand name. We are offering the same service, products and overall gaming experience that were previously offered by Bodog.eu.

All US players that were previously registered with Bodog.eu now have accounts with Bovada.LV.The Bovada site is not open to players from the UK, Canada, as well as the majority of European and Asian countires.

Bodog Bovada Becky, is that you?

Why in the hell would anyone want to play with your sorry ass site? You guys are the last one to post up your lines and then your juice is ridiculous. If you play with Bodog/Bovada you must not be too sharp.

I'm not really liking this. One of the reasons I always trusted Bodog was because they were practically a household name with a huge reputation to uphold. There must have been some reason why they would want to separate their sportsbook operation from such a well known brand.

I guess time will tell. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now.

    Bodog changing name to Bovada

    Dear David,

Bodog.eu is changing - New Name, New Look, Same Great Service

The Morris Mohawk Gaming Group's ("MMGG") brand licensing agreement with the Bodog Brand is expiring at the end of this year and as a result MMGG will no longer be offering its services using the bodog name or from the website, bodog.eu.

From today, December 14th, MMGG will continue to operate as it has for over 4 years, just under its new name, BOVADA, at www.bovada.lv.

Your account and balance has automatically been transferred to the new website and you are able to log in to the site using your existing account details and password.

PLEASE NOTE: As part of the transition process, there will be a scheduled outage overnight to both the old and new websites. We expect Bovada.lv to be live by 11:00am ET on December 14th, 2011.

If you have any questions regarding your account or the new brand we ask that you contact the customer service team directly at 1-888-263-0000 or service@bovada.lv.

We hope you enjoy the new site!

    Sincerely,

    Bodog.eu

Its amazing how people don't read the forum, or even try to figure things out before they make a comment about the end of the world here.

We knew this was coming since July. Nothing has changed. The only difference is the name Bovada.

    EVERYONE CALM DOWN.

Bodog had nothing to do with the bodog.eu site. They have not for 4 years now. MMGG has been the company running the site. They are STILL the ones running the site.

They paid Bodog to use their name since it was a worldwide brand. Bodog said in July to MMGG, we no longer want to take your money so you can't use our name. MMGG had to make a new name. They chose Bovada.

If you didn't like/use bodog.eu before today, you still won't like or use the site. Those that did use it, will continue to with no changes.

    It's really quite simple.

As for the virus software, I would assume its because its brand new as of today and your virus software is not updated and by default is noticing something unusual and flagging it.
