Alabama lost, at home. Know what that game meant? It meant they got an extra week off to prep for the rematch.

It also means the LSU-Georgia game was an exhibition. Of course, the first LSU-Alabama game was also an exhibition. Of course, so was, as it turns out, the OK-OK St game.

I at first thought OK St got most screwed by this stupid system. Then I thought, no, it's LSU, because they have to beat Bama twice, but Bama only has to beat them once. But now I realize it's Bama that's getting screwed. Because even if they win, they'll be a joke. They won't be respected as champions, they'll be seen as a low-class school without the dignity to refuse to accept this BCS crap. If Alabama had any pride they'd turn down this invitation and say, "Sorry, we didn't earn it, we don't want it."

But you know what they say down south: If a Bama boy had any pride he would have gone to Auburn.

i think the problem is that a team like alabama, who not only did not win their conference but wasn't even in the championship game, is allowed in the national championship. against a team they already lost to in a game we already saw.

team 2...won at bama, but lost at neutral site. both teams have one loss now, and it is 1-1 this season...but team 2 also won the sec west and sec title over team 1 and still have more wins vs a clearly tougher schedule.

okla state has the strongest indirect evidence. so you can use indirect evidence to eliminate among the other indirect candidates.


personally i think USC should play in the national championship game if you want to talk about who is the best 2 teams in the country.
