    Probably moving to Canada. Toronto, Montreal, or other?

    Where is the best place in Canada for an online gambler and why? Would like to stay semi near the east.

    A little, and I plan on concentrating on become semi fluent in the next few months. Would rather not live somewhere that most people don't know English though.

    I went to Quebec city yrs ago and everyone under the age of 50 seemed fluent in english.

    Vancouver is one of the coolest cities anywhere. I found Montreal to be a bit dirty and grey and cold as hell. But downtown Montreal is friendly and safe.

    Good move!! I can't believe how many people in this country enjoy being prisoners. Absolutely have no problem with congress passing bills giving the military powers to assassinate and disappear our own citizens for any reason they see fit with no trial, no judge, no nothing. Everything that goes before congress is just more of the same, something to take away our freedoms. When will we see a bill that gives us more freedom? NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Yeah I've heard Toronto is a hole. Wanted to know about Montreal, Nova Scotia(Halifax), or just over the border around Niagra Falls or something. WOuld love some place warmer but the Caribbean gets killed during hurricane season when I bet the most, and South or Central America would be too much of a change, unless someone thinks otherwise and I would love to hear their opinion.

    DO NOT move to Toronto.
    I have lived all over Canada.
    Give me more information on what kind of place you want to live in and I will make recommendations.

    Ottawa is a nice place to live, you must have a vehicle.
    Kingston is a nice small city.
    I would not recommend living in Quebec unless you are atleast partially fluent in Quebec, although in Montreal you would probably be OK.
    The friendliest people in Canada live on the East Coast, Halifax is probably your best choice.

    You can get by easily in MTL without much french. Not so much in Quebec City. You'll be ok around the touristy areas like old quebec/affluent suburbs but anywhere else you'll be out of your element.

    You don't sound like a gambler. The guy isn't looking for scenery, pal.

    Do not move to Montreal, you won't like the adjustment let alone the one way streets.

    Ottawa is a shit hole for anyone who has any kind of life.

    Toronto is too expensive so you want to move to a region nearby to avoid unnecessary costs. The only live casinos in the area are Fallsview/Niagara, Casino Rama, and Port Perry. Plenty of underground games all over the GTA.

    If you have a vehicle you can move further out, somewhere in York Region, if you don't there are plenty of decent public transportation options but I'd stick closer to North York.

    if your not fluent in french(quebec french) don't move there. The moment you speak any English your considered a tourist, and will be taken advantage of. My dad's from an irish part of montreal so I have a lot of cousins there, any anytime I'm there I see this prejudice. They get shit for half the price of an english speaker. Toronto is expensive, Traffic is horrible, and crackers are a minority.Ottawa is nice, kingston is nice, cornwall is close to a border and quebec
