i blame tom brady for the pussification of the QB position

because nfl wants to protect its pretty boy, they instituted all these silly rules to baby the qb.

he's the reason for all these ridiculous roughing the qb penalties being thrown. now you cant even breath on them without being penalized.

it was actually manning that campaigned for the changing of rules regarding defense of receivers, and he got it

its funny how all the people who know shit about football praise that choke manning and blame his doings on brady

although brady has accomplished more than manning ever will in nfl, manning is still revered as the better qb because in reality everyone in the nfl has a man crash on him and changed the rules because of manning, and now you try to pin this on brady?

The NFL doesn't want 32 Curtis Painters taking snaps every week. You protect your goldmines. To do otherwise is foolish.

I blame Brady for the tuck roll. Remember that Oakland game?

Brady rule: Steps taken to protect QBs' knees
    March 24, 2009|Christopher L. Gasper, Globe Staff

DANA POINT, Calif. - Tom Brady hasn't even thrown a pass in his comeback, and he's already affected change for the 2009 NFL season.

In part because of the season-ending left knee injury that Brady suffered in the Patriots' 2008 season opener against the Chiefs, the league's Competition Committee adopted a clarification of the current rule on hits to a quarterback in the knee area or below. The clarification specifically prohibits a defender on the ground who hasn't been blocked or fouled directly into the quarterback from lunging or diving at the quarterback's lower legs.

How would that be Brady's fault? Because he's good? Wouldn't that be the NFL's fault for wanting to protect?

The Colts and Manning cried to the NFL that Patriots db's were too physical at line of scrimmage with wr's and the 5 yard rule got implemented to give offenses an advantage. Pats weren't only team that did it but they were the premier team. Manning clan holds a lot of sway with league office.
