I surrender, the fees have broken me...

Even when I win, I still kinda lose.

I won't bother mentioning the book, if anyone really wants to know just PM me.

Thanks to the Patriots and Packers, I finally had a huge weekend. I turned roughly $600, into about 15k. This is huge for me, I already have plans for the money. A few mortgage payments, some in the kids college fund, etc, etc... all good stuff.

So I call for a payout, here's what I'm facing. I can do five $3000 checks, they figure the last one will get to me in about 45 business days. Or I can do a wire, which is completely trackable by the Feds and the fee is $600!!! $600 for a f'cking wire.

Is there a book left that actually pays you when you win? I really need a new hobby...

congratulations ... unfortunately that is the headache of being in the states atm

unless you fear for the book's stability I'd go for the checks ... just think of it as an extra $65 each week over the ~2 months itll take going into your pocket instead of being bent over for requesting a wire transfer.

4% for a wire is ridiculous though

So glad my government doesn't restrict my personal habits.

I guess the Canadian government feel that if I have the freedom to choose what religion I want to subscribe to, and what academic field I choose to study in, why should it be their place choose what I do with my free time.

It would be logical to assume that if my government were obsessed with my personal habits it would boarder on socialism.

as long as you realize it's only that difficult to withdrawl in the U.S because of the restrictions your government puts on individual liberties you can complain all you want. Until your government starts to restrict free speech that is.

take the wire, but if you are worried about it being traceable i distinctly remember its standard banking policy to monitor transactions 10 k and over..so i would suggest take a wire for 9k and 2 checks for 3 apiece..congrats on the win!

i've talked to some bank employees and it's more like 5k and over these days that draws attention from the bank if not the Gov.

I have worked at banks for 10 years. It is over 10K is CTR report Currency Transaction report. That is for face to face transactions. Wires aren't looked at that hard for any amount unless it is from a country on the watch list and even then it isn't that scutinized.

5K is what is called a Monetary instrument log. That is when you bring cash into a bank and buy a cashiers check or travelers checks. A bank product with 5K or more cash. Anyone that is worried about Feds monitoring your account is so paranoid it's not even funny. TRUST ME!!!! You have nothing to worry about at all.

There is a master list of countries on a watch list for banks. middle eastern and some south american countries. Wires are nothing. a 100K from a sportsbook would be nothing. Banks do not scrutinize these. I know everything there is to know about this subject.

    INDUSTRY SHILL ALERT!

May I suggest that you all do your own homework on this subject. There are still a few posters(not many) whose job is NOT to maximize deposits for online books. Wires are aboslutely the easiest types of PO's to monitor and they are being watched very closely. Again, do your own research on this and start by googling "the patriot act".

scott all wires CAN be monitered of course. Emails phone calls fukkin conversations can be monitered as well doesn't mean they are. If you think that a wire from costa rica or europe or wherever a phukkin heritage is going to send you one from is being monitered by the gov't or feds. They don't care about yuour 7K wire. They don't care about 29K wires. It's not a blip on the radar. I KNOW TRUST ME.

do your own research on this, and get it from sources that do not have an agenda...that is all that I am saying.

Burt - as you say the 'feds as a whole' don't give a shit about the amounts in question ...

Unfortunately the handful the DOJ has set upon the gambling community like a pack of wild dogs, do indeed care

    burt,

I actually agree with a lot of what you said. However, I don't scalp so I always have the option of using locals and staying under the radar. I assure you, many traditional bettors think that using chex or wires for gambling is insane. Count me as one.

First, congrats, take a deep breath, just accept it as doing business, none of us like it but a few hundy to get a hold of 15k just the price of doing business.

I would take about 9k in a wire, listen to burt he knows what he is talking about. Stay away from checks you dont wont the headache of a bounced check to add to the issues.

maybe play with the rest, or take a check as well for the difference after the wire. Then start shopping for a different book.
