Personally I think MSU should be able to pull it out but these line movements are generally an indication of Pinnacle taking a stance on a game and collecting juice from heavy action on the other side. It's usually best to go the other way so Iowa +5 looks like a good play. Michigan State probably wins the game by one possession. At the very least, I think MSU -5 is a losing ticket.

Do you realize that Pinnacle sell/buy points for close to fair value, and the different spreads are offered side by side on Asian view? So you pick the one suits better for you. If you saw MiST -3.5 -131/+116, you were offered at the same time MiST -4 -118/+106, MiST -4.5 -107/-105 and MiST -5 +100/-113 There is no big deal on which one was the "main" line, as every line is offered with the same limits. Maybe the operator was slow to change the spread, or he thought price was going down. Anyway he eventually adjusted, so not big deal. Thanks for your "insight".
