Eli has a qb rating of 91.7 with 25 tds and 15 ints not great. Also 8 fumbles with 4 of those lost. He has a career qb rating of 81.5 that is average at best. Guy has been a turnover machine in his career with 128 int's with 31 fumbles lost also. Can't believe people try to compare him to Payton no comparison. Course he does have a super bowl ring course so does Trent Dilfer.

If Eli was elite, he'd have done better and won vs the Skins. Weird division. Giants beat Dallas, then lose to Skins, Dallas lose to Giants, beat the Bucs. Neither of these teams are consistent and neither likely would do much in the playoffs.

Elite? I'll take Rodgers, Brady, Peyton Manning, Brees, Cutler, Roethlisberger,
Vick (this isnt taking into account his being prone to injury), and Romo ahead of Eli.

Romo, Cutler, and Matt Ryan? When any of them wins a big playoff game then let me know? Eli has been pretty damn good this year overall! He's had to carry the team almost singlehandedly in shootouts this year since they're near the bottom in running the ball and pass defense. If Nicks catches the first easy TD then its a whole different game.

Matt Ryan is not in front of Eli, Eli makes his team good. If Eli had Roddy White, Julio Jones, & Michael Turner, he'd have 3 rings. People have to stop looking at individual game and stop thinking with emotion. Eli is a top 5 quarterback.

Eli is playing the best football of his career at this moment. I was a doubter, but this year has me reevaluating how I look at Eli.

Anyone think that Peyton's injury has helped Eli in terms of support from his dad and maybe more accessability to consult Peyton?

Eli already has taken over one stat. Most TD in 4th quarter in a single season. I'm pretty sure Eli will take a few more before his career is over

Eli now making a statement against the 15-1 Packers. When well you ignorant SBR posters learn??

2-2 in Superbowls for Eli. Peyton Manning wished he had this kind of success against Tom Brady or in the playoffs.

Yeah and his sub 80 QB rating the year he won the playoffs doesn't help his case either.

Eli is ELITE 1 of only 5 players to win multiple SB MVP

Manning now is one of only five players in NFL history with multiple Super Bowl MVP awards. He joined the guy he got the better of in the big game yet again, Brady, along with Terry Bradshaw, Bart Starr and Joe Montana (the only player with three).

Eli has time to get 3

Most 4th Quarter TD passes in NFL history
6 come from behind 4th quarter wins this year ( they wouldn't have made the playoffs without him).
Pre snap reads - doesn't get sacked as much
    Excellent at Audibles
Wins on the road... Does Matt Ryan win on the road... Does Vick ever win when it matters? Romo?
What happened to Steve Smith this year when he went to the Eagles?
Did Victor Cruz come out of nowhere?
Did Jay Ballard come out of nowhere?

Also, if you watched the Giants games you'd see that their mish match offensive line was below average... They were near last in the league in rushing and the lineman would get whippped... The only reason why Eli didn't get sacked a lot was because of
    1) Him calling the right protections presnap and audiblling
    2) His quick release/quick progressions

If you think Matt Stafford, Vick, Cam Newton or Tony Romo would have had the same results with this line, and Jay Ballard at TE, Mario Manningham and all of his mistakes, and Victor Cruz 1600 yards with those guys? Steve Smith could catch 90 balls with Eli and go to the pro bowl but he did nothing with Vick. Eli is head and shoulders above those guys. Romo, Vick, Newton, Stafford... even a month ago people would argue otherwise.

Finally people are giving Eli credit.

i think the Giants did pretty good in the playoffs.

Eli Manning is an elite QB... He was on a mission to support the statement he made before the season.

He proved his point. He has outplayed Tom Brady in 2 Super-bowls and both games this season.
