I didn't say people shouldn't play GB - I just said that people need to stop using the reasoning that a team off a bye week has some sort of an advantage - so far the numbers this year point the other way



I don't think it will matter too much in this case, Green bay plays so much smarter on both sides of the ball that they should be able to win by 7-10 points

He's saying if the first 12 teams that have had bye weeks have overall losing records (inferior teams), the stat that teams coming off their bye weeks are doing awful and losing is greatly misleading and not worth noting.

For example: off of their week 5 bye weeks, these were the teams: Baltimore (won), Cleveland, Dallas (lost), Miami, St Louis, Washington (Baltimore and Dalls being quality teams.)

Off of their week 6 bye weeks, these were the teams: Arizona, Denver, KC (won), San Diego (lost), Seattle, Tennessee. (with KC and SD being considered quality)

Off of their week 7 byes: Buffalo (won), Cincinatti (won), New England (loss), NYG (won), Philadelphia (won), San Fran (won). These higher quality team coming off their byes had a lot more success, while the first 12 were pretty much shit.

So basically, teams that would be considered good are 7-3 off their bye (and thats including Dallas and SD who are trainwrecks), with a large remaining number of quality teams such as ATL, GB, NYJ, CHI, TB, OAK, DET, HOU, NO, and PITT still not having come off their bye week yet.

I disagree...I've seen the same SD team all year! They roll up 450 yards and about 17-20 points while leaving atleast 14 points on the field because of penalties and unforced turnovers. GB doesn't have a lockdown D by any means though so it will probably be close like the Pack/Vikings game.

I don't think vegas is factoring in what is wrong with rivers. It's clear as day there's something wrong with him and if I had to guess I'd say he's having elbow issues. His throws are really off and against rodgers and co. you better be razor sharp to keep up. Chargers will get blasted if rivers doesn't get his arm back.

I wouldn't call those home wins by San Diego encouraging for that team. They held off a lousy Minn team that was being led by a worn out McNabb, barely held off a KC team that was still dinged up AND also narrowly beat Miami. SD is just not the same this year.
