It seems rare that a book moves a line more than 1 point per flash
I have seen a few 1.5 moves but 2 or more is rare

LINE MOVEMENT is overrated and doesnt tells much, its a mickey mouse capping. It is however a key to get the best number for the team that u wanted to wager on.

Depends on the sport/market and when the move happens. A 2-point move, 30 minutes before kickoff in a Sun Belt game makes me sit up straight.

Personally, I don't watch line movements for the sake of making plays. I would never be like "wow it moved 2 points, lets bet it". Sometimes I will hold off and wait to see if I can get the number I want, but I don't buy into the sharp action or RML stuff.
I've been successful focusing on my home teams and picking my spots. I have a Detroit or no play system that has worked extremely well. I don't use any magical stats, but I have consistently won since I started a year ago. Paying attention to the teams is way more important than the lines.
Of course I make other plays for action, but for way less because they never go as well lol
That being said, it does bug me when I go to make a play and see that the line has moved against me. I still play it, but winning less for the same thing is never fun.

you shouldnt bet something because the line moves a certain way but it is prudent to pay attention to it for a variety of reasons.
1. the line moves for a reason. perhaps there is an injury or weather situation that favors a great running back etc etc.
2. its good to train your brain to be able to see which side of the game the book wants you on/ which side theyre begging you to take.
a lot of guys including myself unfortunately take bets and get scared off bets because of crazy conspiracy theories mixed up in line movement but there are plenty of reasons to use lines and line movement as a factor.

Auburn, vanderbilt, texas, iowa st, notre dame, idaho, unlv, arkansas st, miami-ohio all had 2 point moves or more and all covered.
