The ump called an obvious strike a ball and it walked in a batter with bases load. Strike call would have ended the inning. That blown call is the reason it's 5-2 now instead of 3-2.

Obvious? The ball barely caught the corner and you needed the pitch trax or whatever to see it. Quit crying.

    * Rangers are 1-6 in their last seven games with Layne behind home plate.
    * Cardinals are 7-1 in their last eight games with Layne behind home plate.

NFL is rigged, umps cheating, NBA officials cheating too. Good lord, quit gambling. I'll bet when those breaks fall your way there's no complaining.

That was a strike. He called that a strike for Carpenter all night. Hell it was in the same exact location as the pitch right before it, which was a called strike.

People used to cry all the time when Greg Maddux got the corner (off the corner) called strike and other pitchers did not

    Nothing new

Not that he called it a ball, but he has been giving Carpenter and the Cardinals pitches 3+ inches more outside on both sides of the plate strikes all night.

I heard Jerry Layne shrunk down and got inside Mark Lowe's head last night and made him throw the home run to Freese.

I was on the Cardinals, and loved that call. However, he definitely wasn't doing Texas any favors last night...and that particular pitch was definitely a strike. I remember Hamilton was up earlier in the game, and Carpenter got one about 2-3 inches off the other side..and that was called a strike.

The strike zone was all over the place, and definitely seemed to be going the Cardinal's way most of the time.
