5dimes Blackjack log: Proof of rigging

    Hello everyone,

I am a sportsbettor on 5dimes and will say that I love the sportsbook they offer;however, I just started to play single deck blackjack in the "Bonus" part of the casino and please look at the game log below and tell me if this does not look like pure rigging. Now please dont get me confused with some stupid idiot, I am a CPA by day job and love college football so dont get mixed up with the idiots that say "oh this site screwed me!" without some backup.

Below is 31 games of single deck blackjack I played at 5dimes. Out of the 31 hands the dealers average ending hand is a staggering "19" Is this possbible? It would seem very unlikely. Let me know what the serious blackjack players think. I also realie that this is only 31 hands but only winning 4 out of 31 sounds unreal. Thanks..

As a CPA I'm sure you realize the sheer irrelevance of 31 hands of blackjack and the stupidity of sitting down at the table in the first place.

that's the thing, you need 10,000 hands or something which will never happen, to see if it's rigging. but it is rigged because you never have a winning "streak" on online casinos, only losing streaks.

    Guys-
How can we get sites like these shutdown? Come on, this is pure rigging. This was my first time I have ever played on a online casino and whats the odds of my first hand being a "Blackjack"? I want 5dimes to take a big hit for this and many other sites that uses and abuses this rigged software.

And who says we have to have 10k hands to prove rigging? That doesnt even make sense. Again, short-term or long-term this is rigging at its finest!

Stikymess- I tried basic logic but that doesnt work obviously with online casino blackjack. How can anyone say the 31 hands is what happens on a daily basis to people playing blackjack? If people lose this often you wouldnt even see degenerate gamblers sitting at B&M casinos playing.

tdog, I've played for years at B&M places, I can tell you I have sat at a shoe and lost evey hand of that shoe, I can also say I've won every hand in a shoe(rare but has happen). Variance maybe?

I personally never trusted "online" blackjack because you really don't know, is it rigged, does the software learn and beat you? Does a big bet trigger you to lose?

Like I said guys, I didnt want to come on here and make myself look like an idiot who is complaining about losing $100. Thats not a problem as I only use 5dimes for sportsbetting purposes. Tonight, I used 5dimes casino playing single deck blackjack for 31 hands until I went dead broke.

I feel like basic strategy, nostradomus strategy, anything would have still led me to having no money! I was thinking at the end, this is nothing like when I go play some blackjack at a local casino. I will take your guys advise and stay out of these online casinos and stick to sportsbetting

Hi tdog - I did look at your log. You actually won 8 hands and had 4 pushes (two of them on your $50 bets at the end after starting out with $1 bets) out of 31 hands. And that was without playing proper blackjack strategy at all. Your 2nd hand in was incorrect basic strategy.

The reason why people are saying your 31 hand sample size is too small is because it in fact is. As someone involved with mathematics to some degree in your profession, I'm somewhat surprised you'd make a conclusion of any sort after 31 hands at all.

It was obviously a bad 31 hands, but like Shari said, you cannot draw ANY conclusion for 31 hands, regardless of how "set-up" it felt. Try a little poker in a B&M casino, or just with some honest friends, and see how soon you start seeing patterns that aren't there.

And while you lost way faster than expectation, your expectation is still going to be negative no matter how good you are at blackjack. Stick to poker and sportsbetting where you at least have a chance if you're any good.

Shari91- Are you counting pushes as wins? I just counted and 4 wins is correct. Please take a look at how many 21, 20, 19 the dealer has in this stretch of 31 hands. The dealer averaged a "19" in 31 hands. How can you assume the dealer was on a hot streak or just average. I could have lost the next 70 hands the same way.

What strategy could I use to win against online casino?

    Icancount2one-
Again this was my first time playing online casino anything. What are the odds of my first ever blackjack hand online in the casino a "Blackjack"? Sounds unlikely to me. To be honest, it felt like the same rigged software that Full tilt poker used. My very first hand on Fullt tilt poker was "AA" fishy software to me. Maybe they wanted to get money back since I was up $2250 last week? Idk

There is no "strategy" IMO that you can use against an online casino.

In this day and age there are B&M casinos in almost every state. If you really want to continue with this I would suggest a B&M, at least there you get a fair game, you may not win but it's fair.

These are your pushes (two of which came when you raised your bet from $15 to $50):

    00:13:58
    Player Hand 21 A? Q? BlackJack
    Dealer Hand 21 A? K? BlackJack
    3.00 .00

    Player Hand 19 9? 3? 7? Hit, Stand
    Dealer Hand 19 K? 9? Stand
    50.00 .00

I understand why you're upset. For the first 7 hands you bet $1 a hand. You went down $2.50. So you upped your bet to $3 a hand. After 13 hands at $3, you were down a total of $10.50. So you upped your bet to $10 a hand to make back your losses in one shot. After 7 hands of that, you were now down a total of $30.50. You raised your bet size again to $15 for one hand and lost. So now you're down $45.50. Best way to get back you money? Raise your bet to $50 a hand. Pushed the first 2 and then lost the 3rd.

And now here you are. My point was that a 31 game sample where you're not even playing proper blackjack strategy isn't significant. Especially when you keep upping your bet size XXX amount. I suspect it's not the supposed rigging you're upset about... it's the fact that you chased your losses and after 2 pushes, one $50 bet when you only started off betting $1, doubled the amount you were down. The same thing would happen in a bricks and mortar casino... and in fact I've not only see people go on horrendous losing streaks and that's when they're playing properly, but I've done it myself. You need to either have the discipline to quit when you're ahead or the bankroll to weather the variance of the game without chasing your losses.

My suggestion would be to go to one of the many websites that show you how to play proper blackjack strategy and keep your bet size consistent. Raise the amount you're betting when you're on a hot streak... not to try to win back money already spent. Best of luck.

does not seem like rigging, if you played better strategy you might of won a few more hands and not lost that much
also stick to live casinos if books do not have much regulation like in CR

In Europe everything legit online and live

I've had big winning streaks in the 5dimes casino, but I must say there are far more big losing streaks. Also I've noticed size of hands seems to matter.

In honor of Shari, I believe the British/Aussie term here is:

    Spot on!

    Small sample size
    Variance
    Lack of proper strategy

Move along...there is nothing more to see here.

On the plus side, you learned a very valuable and relatively inexpensive ($100)
lesson...stay the hell out of online casinos!

Here's the best advice I every received about online casinos. Call every sportsbook you have an account and tell them you want the casino portion disabled. Almost all will, and can oblige. Those things are programmed to strip you of your money, and they will, end of story. Never, never, never play at one.

The 5dimes bonus casino has treated me well. Won more than I lost...about the only one I would play online
