in honor of thawoj, i just pissed away my chances at an ipad2.

built up to 5000 points, had west virginia -14 for the max and was going to borrow the rest. decided to play a little pai gow to build up the other 3300 (since wv was getting killed) and built it up to 4200 before losing it down to 172 which i put on cincinnati tomorrow.



i've been trying for quite a long time and then i drink too much and throw it all away on paigow ugh

ok i lost my 75%+ CHANCE at an ipad2 due to stupidity. had a 50/50 chance tonight and then another at least 50/50 chance if i would've held on to my points. now i have to tell my kids that the ipad they wanted isn't coming, i know it's my own fault and i don't expect any sympathy.

to be clear, after the title i said lost "my chances" at an ipad2, but the title was misleading. very sorry to use improper wording when my heart is broken here.
i hope you will forgive me, i can't believe the pain you must be feeling at reading my incorrect thread title.

and sorry if i wasn't clear, i never promised my kids an ipad, they beg me for it (like everything else) and i'm too cheap to buy one.
i made the mistake of telling my son i was going to have a chance at it with west va - he went to bed knowing that was a loser but thinking i was getting another chance at it today. dumb things you do and say after drinking, and now this morning i'll have to tell him i ruined our other shot at it too. at least he learns quite often that his dad isn't perfect or even close to it.


and also to be clear, no i didn't want sympathy, i just want to show the perils of drinking and playing pai gow and wanted to vent. i have thick skin so i can take the razzing (and i deserve it).
