    I don't know Dan-o -- he's potentially out $250,000 off a $250 bet if he doesn't hedge. That's a lot of scratch.

    Maybe you don't hedge 50%, but at least make sure you get something for your efforts -- especially now that TEX is + money to win the series.

    I agree with you but I would only hedge on a game itself if Texas has 3 wins in the series. Chances are they won't get 3 wins and you keep it all.

    True but what can't be lost in this is the fuckin phillies. They beat the Braves all 6 games in September and lost 3/4 to St.Louis while "resting" players after clinching East. I am a Braves fan all my life but even I knew the Cardinals were a much more dangerous team than in ATL in September. You would think if I knew than Philly would have known it and controlled the outcome a little since they ultimately had to face St. Louis in R1. Had Philly "rested" against ATL they would have faced Arizona than MIl and probably facing Tex tonite..

    that's quite a foolish way of hedging, let's say texas wins the next 3 games - now you could potentially hedge texas in game 5 and lose, then game 6 and lose, and then hedge them again in game 7 and lose.
    what's the harm in taking 50k to win 60k on texas to win the series? up 185k if texas wins, 325k if stlouis wins.

    i would personally hedge 100k to win 120k, because those numbers are so big i think i would have a heart attack with more than 100k riding on a game.

    Your point is valid but you CAN'T bet 120K on a future wager ANYWHERE and besides the scenario of Texas winning the next 3 games is pretty remote.

    i wouldnt hedge this it seems like its "in the cards" for it to come thru!..now if the cards win again tonight and tex is a huge dog then perhaps for a piece of it..hedging right now would be like biting the hand that feeds you...seriosu question though is this taxable or is it up to you to report it?

    They will pay up to whatever their posted Maximum payout for parlays is..

    And they will make a huge deal about it, try and get an interview from you.. so everyone knows they paid YOU! It's good business in the longterm for people hitting those crazy parlays
