5Dimes Sportsbook baseball betting rule changes

5Dimes Sportsbook (SBR rating A+) has updated their baseball betting rules.

Effective October 15th, 2011, professional baseball post season games are not official until a winner is declared. This year, the New York Yankees vs Detroit Tigers playoff game was suspended in the second inning due to weather, before play resumed the following day with new pitchers. As there can be no rain shortened playoff games, 5Dimes has added to their rulebook to add more clarity to how the sportsbook will handle the uncommon scenario in the future. | View the 5dimes baseball betting rules changes

5Dimes management:

Professional post season games are not official until a winner is declared. If a professional post season game begins then is delayed to a later date, all wagers will have action with the final score result on that date. (updated 10/15/2011, applies to all games scheduled on 10/15/2011 or later)

Regardless of their starting/completion date, NCAA baseball, NCAA softball, international tournament and youth league tournament games have action with the final result score. (updated 10/15/2011, applies to all games scheduled on 10/15/2011 or later)

All regular season baseball games are considered official after 5 innings of play (4½ if the home team is winning). If a game is called or suspended after 5 innings, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning of play - unless the home team scores to tie or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in that case, the winner is then determined by the score at the time the game is called. When betting on baseball totals or run-lines, the game must go 9 innings (8½ if the home team is winning). (updated 10/15/2011, applies to all games scheduled on 10/15/2011 or later)

it was actually great the way they listed this on the website. it could not be missed! they certainly announced it properly IMO. dont care for the rule either way.
