Not sure who you're asking, but I collected nearly 10k from EZ. But, I wouldn't recommend anyone depositing there unless they're willing to accept the obvious risk.

Mike wanted to deposit at The Greek, but after seeing the "recommended list" of a well known site, he saw it is not in the list. So, he choose BetOnline, one of the recommended books. And the rest is history...

This year from April thru August (after the Cory1111 incident). Several free weekly payouts (Tuesdays) of $850. Moved on to BI afterwards.

I agree--it is very misleading. I believe it has to do with ownership experience (since 2004) and not BetIslands itself which is brand new.

Cannot fully trust any book that takes U.S. players these days.
This story would never happen at Pinny or the Greek, i have no problems imagening that it could happen at BetIslands or whatever.
Newer books can look as good as they want, they just don't have the history to feel 100% safe if you win such amounts.
BetPhoenix have been forum heroes for over a year too, would i sweat there now if i won 50k? Hell yea..

To your comment "post one instance where i should be worried" should i post the 100s of mickey mouse books that have popped up before football season then nowhere to be seen after? I wonder if your pal jon is gonna send you the money he owes once he's forced to leave the u.s market? Maybe sbr will help you, right?
So you are advising no US player to deposit offshore at the current time, is this correct? This is what I get from your post but want to be sure that's your thoughts before I respond to the rest of your post.

Yes. If you deposit offshore from the u.s. you deserve to lose your money, theres a reason the greek, pinny and matchbook are long gone and were left with these shit books. If you think these books will still be serving u.s. customers in a year from now then you must be living under a rock.

One thing I will touch on, number of clients, as you addressed in your post, if I remember correctly BI's plans are to go invite only after the football season so therefore they won't encounter this problem you speak of in regards to not being able to pay out because of too many clients. Second thing while I'm on it, BI is a cash only business, therfore this should help keep them less attractive from being shutdown by US authority.

I will go on record saying these books, BI, 5dimes, and Bookmaker, will all still be serving the US market in one year time. I've been playing offshore for over a decade and its always the same old BS and people overeact to it. There will always be ways for the US player to play offshore.

I hope your right. I felt the same way before poker "black friday" Everyone had been saying the same thing about poker for as long as i can remember, then seemingly out of nowhere the bottom fell out. If/when this happens for sportsbook they wont be willing or they wont have the funds on hand to payout to u.s. customers, so we will be S.O.L. again.

That is a smart plan, it seems they only have so much forum love because of there quick payouts. I hope they dont disappear, but like multiple people in this thread have said it wouldnt be the first time and it wont be the last.

If you feel your money is safe with them then obviously theres no reason to stop playing there, i got screwed once with full tilt and since then i only make wagers in vegas.

it really makes no sense when a book doesnt pay you..obviously you will be sending the money back into play eventually if they pay you fast and with no nonsense..gamblers are pretty much in it for life..and of course the overwhelming majority will lose...big books know this and they will rush to pay you when you win your few grand, cause they will get it back most likely.

To all the blowhards that continue to bash SBR and question the integrity of the people who run it, WHY ARE YOU HERE?

SBR gives out up to 12 betpoints daily and also has their 2X a week trivia where you can win up to 125 points each time. If you ever have any disputes at all with a sportsbook that you're unable to resolve, SBR is willing to step in and go to bat for you on your behalf to help you settle the dispute. They provide this forum for people to communicate with one another or vent whatever frustrations people might have.

They offer all of this while asking NOTHING IN RETURN.

To all of the ungrateful SOB's who have a problem with SBR, WHAT DO YOU DO FOR THEM other than whine and complain about the site? If you don't like the free services SBR offers, you are always free to leave.

It never ceases to amaze me what idiots some people are.

I agree with your theory that there will always be a way to play offshore. The big question is,what will we be left with?Have seen alot of crap in the last 15 years and BOS almost made me say fukk it.You can't play the way you used to for fear of having too much anywhere. When the Greek closed up to US that was a dagger.I think anything over a dime at any of these shops now with the exception of BM/DSI is risky at best.Hope I'm wrong but intuition says walk softly for the time being.

I agree that not all locals are great... you need to be involved with the one that has been in the SB business for a while and is reliable. The smart one's generally know how not to get in over their heads and not to let people bet over theirs.

Ask for nothing in return? Are you joking? You realize they make all of there money from player losses right? you cant buy anything from the store if you dont use them as an affailate, its actually a great business model by john. Act like your giving away ipads, tvs, etc when your really making bank off of all the forum member losses. If you have a dispute with someone john is friends with, like 5dimes, you have zero chance of getting it resolved.
