No, not a fluke. The Niners are VASTLY improved and will win the west. They will be the team no one wants to play in the playoffs (along with the Lions).

Pettigrew dropped more than a handful of passes, Lions are a good team.

Might see these 2 teams again in the playoffs. Can't wait to see the handshake at the end of that one.

Good one KLC. Schwartz has a legit beef though. It wasn't the hard shake that pissed him off it was the pushing in the back to move him along that pissed him off. In the replay you can even read his lips, "WTF!"

The crash has just begun. You saw how rattled Calvin and Stafford were at the end of the game, like in shell shock. This team doesn't know how to lose and they won't know how to respond when it gets worse

6-7 losses left on their schedule and no playoffs

    ATL, @DEN, @CHI, CAR, GB, @NO, MINN, @OAK, SD, @GB

Bills exposed. Now Lions exposed. In NFC look for teams like Dallas, Philly, Chicago, and Atlanta to have strong showings from here out.
Atlanta will beat the Lions next week.

They really just need him to manage games, gore is a beast and they can stop the run. Almost the same formula the jets used in the playoffs but obviously the niners are without revis.

the same morons said philly was done, are saying buffalo is done, probably think new orleans is done, thought pittsburgh was done, thought san diego would get off to a slow start, thought cutler was done, and thought kolb was better than vick.

Well I guess every team in the NFL but GB has been exposed. Not to mention if Detroit stops them on 4th down they basically win the game. Shit happens.

They are as good as their record shows for them right now. When they were 5-0, they were overrated. I think after 7 games, they are a 5-2 team. Their main flaw is they have no run game. Imagine how much better Megatron would be with a running game. Defense would actually have to play honest.

Hmm, so 5-2 means they're terrible? The lions arent great, but they'll squeek into a wildcard spot

Yeah, im thinking they'll make wild card at best..they seem to be the "come out stronger than ever, then flop" team this year.

Pretty iffy. I wouldn't bet on it at even. I think they get 9 wins but it'll take 10 for the playoffs. Big step forward this year but not quite ready to make playoffs.

They have to make 11 wins to squeeze to wildcard since they will be losing the tie-breaker with Atlanta.

Atlanta should beat Indianapolis, Tennessee, Minnesota, Jacksonville and Tampa. That will bring them to 9 wins. Then they only need to beat Saints once or beat Panthers and Texans on the road. So they will be 10-6 at least.

Actually that's not necessarily true. Not if they end in a 3-way tie, for example with Chicago and Detroit. Let's say Atlanta, Chicago and Detroit all tie at 10 wins for the best wild card records. Atlanta beat Detroit. Chicago beat Atlanta. Detroit beat Chicago (let's say for argument's sake Det beats Chi again). Yes, Atlanta beat Detroit, but they lost to Chicago. So then it's Atl and Chi, right? But no, Det beat Chi. So it's Atl and Det? But wait, no, Chi beat Atl. I think then they have to go to conference record. So it is actually possible for Det to get in over Atl even if they are tied (if Det has a better conf record), under this scenario. I think.

Lions for wildcard I think pretty close to 50/50 or better. Granted, they have a very tough schedule down the stretch.

Yeah I'm looking at an updated site on odds and they have Det at 80% (12% division hah!, 68% wildcard), Atl at 36% (25% wilcard, 11% division) and Chi at 45% (all wildcard). I would bet against Det at those odds large. I would agree Det is a 50/50 deal (at best IMO) to make the playoffs from here, but my guess is that it'll be Atl and Chi.
