This was a great when betpoints was redeemable for sportsbook cash & freeplays. I would always fade my big plays with points just in case.

Why not bet 5% less and save your points...
you either make good wagers or you don't...
points are money, if you can't figure this out...
you wont figure out gambling...

Been doing that this week and I'm down from a 1000 points to 300.
Usually I only do that with certain plays as you should be confident enough to lay both points and dollars.

Used my freeplay on Tigers today. Either I'm happy Tigers get the win, or 500 pts richer. I'm glad I lost them
