    Al Davis And Heyward-Bey

Al Davis took all that ridicule for drafting Heyward-Bey when he did a few years ago. The day after he dies , Heyward-Bey has a career year. Karma at its finsest.

The Raiders have enough wr's for someone to play well, it just so happened to be DHB. And for all the heat the Mafia Al took for draft DHB over Crabtree, Crabby hasn't shown me shit. If either guy had to be drafted again, neither would go in the first two rounds.

id like to see crabtree without alex smith. he was the best college receiver (other than blackmon) ive seen in many years.

some other recent noteables are eric decker, dez bryant, and aj green.

DHB has a lot of speed, but also has hands of stone and probably wouldn't still be there if they could have gotten something of worth for him.

Crabtree has too much ego and not enough work ethic. He came into the NFL expecting to dominate right away and that potential alone would be enough. It's too bad, because he had the talent coming out to be a very good WR. Sure he's had Alex Smith throwing to him, but so has Vernon Davis. Crabtree has never really prepared himself to be on the field.

A lot of Al Davis greatness is before my time, but I think every NFL needs to take the chance and read a little about the man. How , and what he did to make the NFL into what it is today.

Crabtree has been a big disappointment but he has 1,498 yds and 8 TD in his career versus 753 yds and 3 TD for DHB, so I don't know how you can say Al got it right.

Crabtree would of demanded almost double the money of heward bay..They both are obviousy not starting recievers and should be out of the league in 2 or 3 years, so he saved 15-20 million.

I know Crabtree has been hurt (when isn't he?) but you could do much worse than Alex Smith this year...Crabtree is what he is, a #2 receiver, was a system receiver at Tech

So true dude... couldn't agree with the Karma wheel analogy more.. which is probably why i was an idiot to take the G-men in my elimination pool this week knowing tey had no right beating Arizona. In any case, if you're a fan of the raiders and Karma, you'll love the first blurb in today's Geno's Takes for the 13th... as gave some love to your owner AL DAVIS... the blurb is below, the full article is at the above link.

Taken from Geno's Takes for the 13th...

    After further review
Finally the instant replay is good for something. After reviewing the last play of the Raiders Texans game it was revealed that the Raiders dramatically won that game with only 10 players on the field on the games final play, which you just have to see. And while the refs may have missed that 11th man, he was certainly there for everyone to see in the AD on the back of each players helmet. Anyone who didn’t get goosebumps when they heard that doesn’t truly appreciate how much football mirrors life. And before any purists question whether the refs should have flagged illegal procedure on the play, cut them a break; you know how hard it is to properly count the players on the field when about 70% of the jerseys have Williams, Johnson and Harrison on the back? And please don’t even get me started on the name Smith—there are more black Smiths in the NFL than colonial Williamsburg. (c’mon didja really think I was gonna stay all mushy this entire take???)

what is this chart kkoz?? the first few games of this year?? his team is stacked and his offensive line is highly productive minus penalties.

im breaking a vow i made to never be too harsh on alex smith ever again that i made when he engineered this game-tying, overtime-making drive on monday or sunday night last year and bailed me out. BUT:

you cant really do much worse than alex smith at the starting QB position. exceptions are maybe tavares jackson and blaine gabbert.
