    so if you bet like 1 percent of your bankroll that would be one unit. So most of sbr 1 unit is around 50 cents to a dollar.

    a unit to some people is another name for their rooster.. to others it represents an amount that they are betting.

    A standard betting amount. Should be less than 5% of your roll.

    If you're into the math check out Kelly betting. Maybe avoid the Think Tank; death threats are exchanged over interpretations of which functions should be used and how they are best applied.

    A measurement that puts $5 bettors on the same plane as $10,000 bettors. The $5 bettor may be betting 2% of his bankroll while the $10,000 better may be betting 1% of his bankroll, so the smaller bet (1 unit) is actually more proportionally than the big bet (1/2 unit).
