Obama and the Dems had 2 years to do whatever they wanted, and look what happened. Not to mention the Dems have had control of Congress since 06, conveniently right before our deficits became even more absurd.

I don't get how anyone can say Obama has been a success. He liked the idea of being President more than actually being President.

The Republicans need to get their shit together and offer a good candidate/pairing of Pres and VP, or else we'll see 4 more years of this bullshit.

When are you numbskulls going to realize that "the Republicans had four years of blah, blah blah" and "the Dems had four years of blah, blah, blah" doesn't mean anything either way?

The fact that we're still stuck in a two-party system and arguing/pointing fingers at each other -- thinking it will somehow change if the party you support is in power -- is why this country is in bad shape to begin with. Our elected officials are a joke and our Presidents all share a common bond now -- from Reagan on, they've been in the back pocket of corporate America. Good luck getting anything done with this kind of landscape.

    Always knew you were smart..

Also, I can't speak on Ron Paul being a viable candidate, but I almost shit my pants that a few posters in this thread think that getting rid of the Federal Reserve would be a BAD thing??? Those of you that think that probably have no clue that the Federal Reserve is not even a Federal entity. The Federal Reserve is responsible for much of the turmoil in our society.

    Sharp.

It's borderline scary to think of how brainwashed some Americans are when it comes to stuff like this and being zoned in on horrible media outlets like CNN, MSNBC and Fox News. They're like zombies. No wonder politicians and CEO's are able to get away with what they do.

    well said.

If the country was getting better, even though it was slower than they wish, then I could see the argument that we should be more patient and give Obama more time. The facts are completely different. He has been an absolute failure unfortunately and whoever the next president will be, now will have an ever tougher job. Thank good goodness for last years November elections where the people put a stop to Obama's reckless spending. Unfortunately Obama will just keep on doing the same ole shit till he gets booted out in a year. And that is .... spend and blame Bush and the Republicans.

OF course, there will be those that will will still keep on buying what he is selling.

In a nutshell.. Rather you are black or white, Republican or Democrat all of our representatives are non-representing representatives. Which is to say in basic English... "They don't give a fu$% what you want or what they think is right as long as they are getting greased by Corporate America... Namely Wall Street and the Banks.

    That is basic Politics 101!

I heard the same garbage after W left office.

Open your eyes man. Stop the blame game and realize both sides are incompetent and equally to blame. Having an "R" instead of a "D" in front of the President's name in this day and age is irrelevant -- either one is a slave to and a mouthpiece for big business and corrupt corporate America. After all, they wouldn't be elected in the first place without them ($$$$).

The president is nothing more than a king on a chess board. Hangs back and lets his pawns
do the work. Only, the pawns are fighting amongst themselves and not getting anything done.

King's right, the Repub's haven't done shit, except say no for two years and now that they have
some power, their main objective is getting rid of 'bama and signing pledges.

At least the Dem's tried to get shit done, instead of having their thumbs up their ass, saying
sniff this, to the guy next to them.

    Exactly.

Arguing over President or Congress is exactly what these scumbags want you to do. Whatever diverts the simpletons away from the reality of the situation.

They don't represent you in any way, shape or form. Not anymore.

Exactly and the room temperature IQ argues over which one has a better mouse trap when both are toxic for the good of main street. Maybe I am too cynical but most need to be a little more. Ask questions such as "why does corporate america raise over 85 million dollars for one man to be president when the job pays less than 1M a year???? hmmmmm. Why did Dick Cheney leave a 2M a year job with an oil giant to take a job paying less than 200k a year??

It is too early to call so these poll numbers don't mean much at all right now. We don't even have the primaries finished yet.

I just find it hard to believe that majority of the people who will be voting making less than 100k, will be siding with the Republican. Just don't seeing it happeningNot anyone on the Republican side is charismatic enough to pull it off. Bush Jr only pulled it off against Gore because he was the son of a very respected President.

What would you suggest? A third party would only add to the chaos. IMO

For one it early. Next there are too many negatives saying he won't get reelected. Odds had republicans +175 in June and now it's -120.

Could anyone tell me where I can go all in on republican winning the presidency? I follow politics everyday and there is absolutely no way he wins again. Even if he raises $1 billion. They predicted that amount but they won't reach that amount.

While that seems logical, you have to be aware of the sheer number of voters who vote blindly based on that R or D next to their name alone.

sadly, the three stooges, harry dunn or lloyd christmas, cliff clavin, latka, stan laurel or oliver hardy, larry david, george castanza, cosmo kramer, the entire cast of the little rascals (including the dog) and the two guys in 'dude, where's my car?' would beat him and make a better president.
