If you died, would anyone know how to access your off-shore accounts?

I know this sounds like a morbid question but it is something that I have thought about lately. I currently have about $5K offshore and I realize that this amount is not life-changing if I would die. However, I think I should let someone know the names of my sportsbooks so they could pull the money out. Hell, at least let someone have an all-in moment with my entire balance!!

Would a sportsbook let someone other than yourself access the account?

Yeah, they couldn't let them know that. Perfect excuse not to pay.

The wife knows my info. All profits go to our daughters savings account.

It's smart to have a goal and plan in case something happens. GL

Good luck getting your wife/relative cashing out your account. The book will ask for death certificate, funeral pictures and your little pinkie to prove you are dead so your wife can cash out and then they will charge her a $500 death transfer fee on top of all the other fees they charge.

Wonder if SBR has ever handled a complaint or been involved with resolving an issue such as this on behalf of a next of kin, estate, etc?

Just put the info in a safe deposit box, which then you can leave the contents in your will.

4 things a woman should be able to do:

Cook, clean, polish your knob and do a wire transfer.

I set this up a long time ago with a forum owner and my wife.Expecting your wife to handle this is asking a bit much so having somebody that is well versed at the procedure is a must.I'm sure some of these squirrel books would try to get out of paying but the big ones wouldn't.

I am sure my brother could access my info, he knows I have a file with all of my books, passwords usernames on my laptop. Now as pavy said will the books allow it, I am sure he wouldn't say I was dead that's for sure.

But if your brother doesn't tell them you are dead and he is still using your account after your death isn't that fraud because he is not you the authorized user.

So I guess you shouldnt buy life insurance either than because it's a "morbid" issue?

OP brings up a good topic that should be discussed. People need to think about these kind of things and prepare.

A Better question "Would the sportsbook allow your relative to cash out through your account?" I think we all know the answer to that one, at least for US citizens. I bet books make millions a year just off dead people.
