What do you expect from Jaromir Jagr This year?

While I'm thrilled to see him return to the NHL once again I'm still skeptical that he can compete at his advanced age especially on a team who just did somewhat of an overhaul in the off season.

He should get around 65-70 points if he's healthy for the year. He's still got a little bit left in the tank.

I think it's a stretch for Jagr to get 30 goals this season, but a solid 20-goal effort is possible. I think he's probably good for 60-70 points and he'll add some much needed support on the power play.

He's had a great preseason and he has one of the best passers in the league in Giroux (whom he calls a "little genious", lol) passing him the puck.

    I'm pretty excited.

I expect only one thing: a sincere effort to be as valuable player to his team as possible... if he stays healthy, of course. GL, Jags!

Heard through the grapevine that Jagr burnd hundreds of thousands gambling on the NHL, during his professional career.

Guy is a degenerate gambler. When does Jeremy Roenick run out of money and get him to fix games?

As soon as Rick Tocchet starts his gambling operation again.

Exactly....this guy is clueless.....I'd lay 3000 dollars not points on that over 49.5. Jagr does 60-90. Selanne could have done 90 points last year if he didn't miss a bunch of games and he's 41. Philly has a lot more scoring punch than people think.

I really can't see him getting 70 points this season. That would be incredible considering his age and the fact he's been playing in the NHL Lite for a while now.

I'll put up 500 points on the U on 70.5 points.

You ever hear of a guy named Teemu Selanne? Jagr is a freak of nature and could probably lead the league in scoring if everything went right.

I agree with johnnythunder. I was going to bring up that if Selanne can still get 80 points at 40, I'm sure Jagr can hit that too with better line mates and more skill. I see 80 points if he plays a whole season.

    now you want to wager?

you're the d-bag who said the Flyers would not make the playoffs and then went running away with your tail between your legs as soon as I mentioned a points wager based on that. here's the thread:
