Hedge 200 to maybe Win 5000?????

    Hey Folks,

Give me your feedback, I'm a Non-Pro, currently sitting (lucky) 13th out of over 1900 in the ""BEAT the PRICK"" contest.
Do I take a shot, deposit 200 in a sponsored Book, to have a chance to win the 5000.00 Grand Prize???????
Don't really trust the offshores, during the times of turmoil, and very happy playing with my same local for over 12 years.
Most Pro's seem to do alot of Air-Betting, and probably have burned all of their locals, been placed on a Black List, can only play offshore b/c they have to put their money up front, to feed their needs.

Monday is the last day to sign up to be PRO, to be elgible..

C'mon JJ, what da ya think??????? You the Union Leader, give me an answer....

    TM

Deposit $200 in to 5dimes. Money is safe there. Solid book will have no problems getting your funds out when wanted.

It's a long season. Just because you're 13th after 3 weeks doesnt mean anything. There is nothing to "hedge" here. You should deposit at 5dimes or BetIslands and become PRO anyway. Your money will have nothing to worry about there. You make a few wagers, w/d your money, and go back to betting local.

Or you could deposit $200 into bodog and scalp a soft line (Bodog features many of these) with your local book.(IE bodog often offers +110 on certain 2nd half football games when every other book has -110/-110 so it would be a breakeven scalp to clear rollover than get a payout and boom you don't have to leave your money offshore any longer.

I don't see a hedge situation here. All I see his a moron who is in the top 20 in this years BTP contest who has his mind racing past his reality. Having said that ... Yes deposit the measly 200 dollars for piece of mind and pro status with this beloved site.

    Sorry, used the wrong word................

Probably should have said, ""gamble, bet, wager, lay, punt""

    Oh well, so be it.

um you shouldn't have used hedge, gamble, bet, etc.
you should've used "make a good decision"

whoever you put the $200 with will give you a better bonus and more betting options than your local.

not sure why you start a thread debating about a whoppping $200 that you know you should do - no rational person would risk the chance of losing 5k because they are afraid of losing money in a book that nobody has ever been stiffed from.

and in the first post, you claim "most pros" air-bet, burned their locals, etc etc? that's quite a lot of research you have done! yeah we sure are dumb for betting online and getting bonuses! just the free handicapping/mnf contests at youwager are worth $300/year/person.

best of luck, i think you should become a pro and also i hope you can find it in your heart to not be so antagonistic toward those of us that actually do what the site is for - SPORTSBOOK review, not local bartender bookie review.

Air bets ? People who really know me around here unlike yourself can attest to my realism with my gambling. I got 8 hundred on Texas A&M -2.5 at high noon. You wanna see the ticket pal I don't f u c k around here, I don't have time to entertain myself with delusional air bets. That's a medium size bet for me BTW. Now as far as the borrowed points go. I use those points usually to throw up hailmary pipe dream parlays at SBR's sportsbook to maybe hit one day and cash out with no money risked of my own. Also like to practice my roulette systems in the casino with points without again risking any of my own money. Any thing else ?

mickey i'm being serious here, just the points you already would've won from btp would be worth 228 pts week 3 and 310 pts week 1 that's 529 x .07 or $37.
not a lot of money, but how many more $37 are you going to keep throwing away by not being pro? probably a lot considering it's $1/day just for the 12 pts

beat the jerk you don't have to defend your actions to mickey or anyone else. i tried defending my actions of borrowing points to get freeplays/stuff from the store and i think he called me a "degenerate" for getting free stuff.

i also try to build up points, up to 1338 right now which i threw on uconn -2 1/2. if i hit that and 2 more games, free ipad. otherwise all i lost was free points...

glitch he wasn't talking about hedging the contest plays by betting the other side, just becoming pro so that he would actually get paid if he places at the end of the year.
