20,000 SBR poker points up for grabs for places 2nd through 10th....
PLUS 10,000 betpoints for the winner. (no rollover required for the 1st place winner)

Top 10 places cash.

There will be 2 rounds. The top 20 at the end of business on October 31st will earn a bye from round 1.

Round 1 will feature a tournament between places 21 through 50 battling for 10 spots, the top 10 advance to the championship round. Round 1 will also feature a tournament between places 51 through 100 battling for 10 spots, the top 10 advance to the championship round. There will be no points awarded for qualifying rounds.

Round 2 will feature the championship.
The championship round will feature the top 20, who had a bye, and the top 20 qualifiers from round 1.

The standings will be the final standings at the close of business on Halloween, October 31. Round 1 will take place at 4PM eastern time on Saturday Nov 5th. The championship round will be a week later at the same time.

The payout will be:
1st 10,000 betpoints
2nd 6,000 poker points
3rd 4,000 poker points
4th 3,000 poker points
5th 2,000 poker points
6th 1,500 poker points
7th 1,250 poker points
8th 1,000 poker points
9th 750 poker points
10th 500 poker points

i bitched about the stupidity of this before the "ryder cup" too.

nothing against sinmiedo, but he is basically locked up for every future sbr tournament as well.

guys from the US had way more points than people from world or europe but didnt get on a team and those people on those teams get massive point advantages due to playing in the ryder cup.

as for the regular qualifiers, not all of us have a debt of 8k points and need/want to play every day if it appears no qualifying is going on.

You can argue that you would've turned into Phil Ivey had you known one day your finishes would've mattered, but at the end of the day, you play to win. I don't think any of the squeaky wheels had a shot at the top 10, anyway.

Actually they had the highest amount of points won outside of the qualifiers. So they were players and long time posters. Plus you are talking about 4 guys and only one in the winning group. Some micro surgery hair splitting for a tourney with 100 guys. Plus, there is over a month to qualify.
