House approves stopgap funding, Reid says Senate will block
The House early Friday narrowly approved a stopgap spending measure to keep the federal government running through Nov. 18, as Republican leaders secured the votes of conservatives who had rejected a similar bill a day earlier.
The 219-203 vote sets up a confrontation with the Senate, where Democratic leaders have vowed to block the measure in a dispute over federal disaster aid.

Harry Reid.... Lefty Rosenthal has been accused and called many things, but one thing he was never accused of was lying about his colorful career. The movie Casino was meticulous in details (as was Lefty) and only varied just enuff to prevent lawsuits which would have held up production. In the movie, you will notice Tommy Smothers in several scenes. This is Harry Reid. An accurate portrayal and only the tip of the iceberg for a man who is a multi-millionaire and only held government jobs. He is probably just a good saver or a BJ counter who doesn't get kicked out.
