    Afternoon Baseball Cubs vs Astros.

Cubs leading most of the day. Top of the 9th, man on second two outs. 1-2 count on carlos lee, and Garza leaves a four seamer right down the middle, easy to drive some where. Carlos lee 2 homeruns today.

    3-3 top of the 9th.

What looked like the cubs had easily, now looks like they are going to lose.

Why did I take the cubs

    ******* carlos lee.

    Now the next guy singles.

Garza now has 119 pitches. And is still in the game. Looks like the cubs are done playing baseball this season folks.

Why would you take the cubs? Houston is free money today at +150. People were defintely over thinking this one.

Cubs get out of it, not feeling good about this game at all. Again you have to ask why Matt Garza would try to get a fastball by C.lee on a 1-2 count, you should be pitching down and away and in the dirt in till you have 3 balls.

Can't say I am shocked, the cubs have blown a lot of games. I guess this is just anther to add to the pile. It made sense to take the cubs today, but I just had a 'feeling' Astros were going to find a way to win. And I guess they did, Carlos Lee, did at least.

Congrats to everyone who hit Houston .

Garza has been pretty dominate of late, coming back home to Chicago, and Wandy has a 4.5 ERA in two starts vs. Chicago this year. it was looking great with 99 percent of the game completed.....

I don't understand why you leave Garza in the game after the guy reaches, yet alone gets on second and your SP has 115+ pitches. Kind of lost, isn't it time to bring in your closer, esp. with C. Lee coming in who has been one of the hottest batters in base ball and has already hit one Homer off of Garza.

I guess its why the cubs have lost so many games this year it seems like management is a key issue.

Wouldn't quite say they cubs are as garbage as the Astros. Cubs still have a lot of good players, esp. on their offense. I think they are top 5 in the NL in hits.

Houston sucks, esp. now that they traded away all their stars. But when you got Carlos Lee hitting two homers today all of that doesn't matter. And that is pretty hard to account for.

I don't think this is an easy win for the cubs by any stretch. They had this game emotionally won, 2 outs, 1-2 count. And then your starter who has pitched a great game, gives up a two run homer. Can they come back emotionally and get a run? I doubt it. All the advantage is with Houston right now.

I guess, I do over-react. But 1 strike away? That is hard to take. (esp since it was 1-2 count)

I live in chicago and am a huge cubs fan, thats why i went big on houston here. Quade is an idiot, there lineup is overrated, bullpen sucks, etc etc. They still might win this on a fluke but they should never be big favorites over anyone

I dunno, a fluke. Garza pitched a great game, it was just that he was left in too long. And Carlos Lee is locked in.

They are facing Houston. I Kind of just wanted to make some money ahead of the football weekend, and just looked like a fair bet to take a shot. On. Come on Cubs, don't make me look stupid.

A-ram is up. He is clutch as it gets for the Cubs. I still remember him hitting that HR vs. the brewers four years ago when they are down 6-0 early.

LAWL he strikes out. This game could be going on for a long time now. Once it gets passed the 11th, games usually last a while because players try to end it with one swing. Its the battle of the bullpens now.

Now Reed Johnson strikes out, had two great pitches to drive some where and missed both. I just got a feeling Houston scores a couple here. This one is going to hurt for a while.

Wow didn't think they would send their Closer back out for anther inning, but I guess it makes sense he only threw 11 pitches in the 10th.

okay, cubs. End my heart ache here.

Ump is calling that down and away breaking ball. That is an impossible hit to drive some where. Cubs need a complete miracle.

Again, cubs get a guy in scoring position with 1 out, and the next two batters strike out swinging. Cubs seriously are just blowing this game away.

You ever have around a grand on the cubs...

Up by 3 going into the bottom of 9th...Marmol comes in for the finish....bases juiced 2 outs...1-2 count, gives up a grand slam.

    That's fun.

Or on em and Cubs have bases loaded twice and no outs and get 0 runs. Also 2nd and 3rd 1 out and 0 runs. Lose by 1?

    Talk to me then.

    Baseball is over for me.

And now they steal ,man on 2nd. no outs. Its over folks, I am calling it. Time to go jump off that bridge...

Lawl. looks like my bi-polar sports disease got the better of me again. No, idea how houston didn't score. After you get that steal, seriously bunt him over .Man on third one out. You have a very very fast guy at third, just do the suicide squeeze. Bam one run lead.
