You forgot health care, farming, law, engineering, education, aviation, science/research, computer science, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.

Times change. Yes manufacturing jobs have steadily declined over the last 20-30 years, however, look how many more jobs have been created from the birth of new industries such as green technologies, computer technology, etc.
Think about how many millions of jobs the internet alone has created over the last 20 years.
And FYI, "The US has become the biggest retailer in the world" isnt exactly news.
