Where do I purchase tickets for the 2014 SuperBowl?
Looking to attend the big game this year and I want to get my tickets early as possible as once the season plays out no doubt ticket prices are bound to go up. I usually buy my tickets from stubhub however they don't have them up yet. When do they go on sale and where can I purchase these tickets for the lowest price?

Ticket prices haven’t been set yet (though face value was $850 to $1,250 for last February’s contest in New Orleans), nor has the exact number of tickets been determined.

MetLife Stadium’s capacity for regular season football is 82,500, but additional security, cameras and media requirements will reduce that by a few thousand, McCarthy said. So working with a round number of 80,000, the distribution will look like this:

        • NFL: 20,160
        • N.Y. Giants: 2,480
        • N.Y. Jets: 2,480
        • National Football Conference Champions: 14,000
        • American Football Conference Champions: 14,000
        • Remaining 28 teams: 960 each, or 26,880 in all.

Clubs will hold some of their tickets for sponsors, and then conduct lotteries for their season ticket holders, McCarthy said.

The NFL holds a "general fan lottery" for 500 tickets, but that against-all-odds drawing was closed in June, smack in the middle of the off-season.

You should. I had the opportunity to attend the Super Bowl when it was in Dallas, and its by far the best sporting event I've ever seen.

              Truly a spectacle without compare.

Many unsold tickets at this year Super Bowl in New Orleans

2014 might be a different story. Call the NFL directly

Easy - make all life plans other then buying tickets. Then get them on stubhub an hour before the game.

Because its not like you would go the game alone I would have to at least bring the wife so your looking at 5-6k for just tickets

Would rather wager that money on the game and watch in a Vegas book
