Did David Ferrer just injure himself??

Jesus - I bet $3000 total on Ferrer to beat Roddick and he just kicked the sideboard in anger after losing a point and hurt his foot.

He limped off the court on the changeover and took his shoe off and on. Already down a break.

Ferrer is STILL messing with his foot during the break. I think he's really hurt himself.

If anybody who has a book with live betting on this match, I'd encourage you to take Roddick.

Do you think the line would move that much after just one service break? It may be because I know how hyperbolic and overreactive live-betting can be.

If Ferrer is okay foot-wise there'd be value on him at that number, but I'm telling you he limped off the court, checked his foot, removed his shoe twice, and kind of hobbled off the court at the delay.

He did hold serve once after the incident - so who knows?

If Ferrer does take the court again, no one win anyway.

    Bodog and DSI certainly not.

Ferrer was pretty awful in a few of his recent matches, took a while to get his rhythm.

It is not under in play tennis. Did they put it somewhere else?

That's what I'm fearing - that the medical staff will check it out and tell him it's not worth it.

I don't ******* understand why he kicked the stands when he did... made no sense. He got broken and then kicked it in the middle of Roddick's next service game. WTF?

I may have just been Gus Frerotte'd

**** you - Ferrer was a bargain at that price. Roddick has been horrible and the only reason Ferrer wasn't -400 was because all of the Andy fanboys make him the Lakers of Men's tennis.

you are on crack if you think ferrer even deserved to be anything over -200... he is not that good on hard. 3K on him is not smart....there are much smarter betting opportunities

Ferrer has owned Roddick - he beat him in straight sets easily in Roddick's hometown.

It's style of play as much as talent. Roddick has been a one-trick pony and Ferrer is a dirt dog who gets everything Andy has to offer.

And by the way I got it at -170. The -200 is just what it was this morning before the match.

The only reason it's a stupid bet is that I didn't expect Ferrer to flake out and sabatoge his foot. WTF - who could have predicted that?

Lol, this is what people say all the time. There are better opportunities, but in fact the risks are all the same. Ask the bookies!

What is your book's rule? On my book, the game is official only with 2 COMPLETED set.

ferrer is in his decline. he had overachieved his whole career. time is up. takes too much effort for him to continue to stay above water. excellent job overachieving, made a shitload of money, but its over now.

If Roddick has been horrible than why is he still in the tournament? I thought the horrible players were the ones that lost?

So if Ferrer withdraws I may get a no action? I'll check my books - have 1 bet with Sportsbook and another with Bookmaker.

I know for a fact there are better opportunities. for example simon against isner. keep in mind I live in NYC and have been watching these guys live and simon is in much better playing form than isner. Conversely ferrer has not looked impressive and will be beat once someone brings a good game.

Obviously Ferrer will be beat. He's hardly an elite hardcourt player. He's good, but not close to the top guys.

    Sportsbook:

    Tennis
For Tennis Match betting, at least two full sets must be completed for wagers to stand. If less than two sets are completed then all wagers will be considered no action. For example, if a player retires from a game when two sets have already been completed, all bets will stand, with the player progressing to the next round deemed as winner.
In the event of any of the following circumstances, all bets will stand:

    • A change of playing surface
    • A change of venue
    • A change from indoor court to outdoor court or vice versa
    • The match is delayed due to inclement weather/bad light and is completed on a later date.

In these instances, any bets will be settled on the final outcome after the conclusion of play.

    Bookmaker:

BookMaker provides all tennis wagers on the individual matches or sets. Betting must be fully completed without player's withdrawal, incapacity or disqualification for bets to stand. If a match is rescheduled due to scheduling, weather problems, bad light, etc. then all bets will have action and all wagers will stand. All tennis future bets are placed as *"All In"* unless otherwise stated. If a player withdraws before participating, then all bets on that player are settled as a loss.

That's just the Roddick fanboys chiming in with late bets at work IMO. No different than a Yankees or Cowboys game moving before kickoff.

To imply that a veteran, world #6 player from a first-world country is going to tank a US Open 4th round match is not rational. Maybe if he was newly famous and from a 3rd world country... but not a tour vet from Spain.

Julien Benneteau is a scrub? He beat Almagro and Istomin in straight sets and then loses to Roddick in straight sets.
