    Unreal, they let David Garrard go... he wasn't the best thing that happened to them, but hell, who are they gonna use NOW??? Gabbert? why are all teams putting their hopes on their rookies??? INSANE!

    People are going to overreact to this. Obviously this helps TEN week 1, but lets get real. How much better was he over a guy like McCown? They will still rely heavily on MJD and their revamped defense. I'd put this game at a pick em now.

    I can see the benefits but still less than a week away from the start of the season?? just doesn't make sense.

    PLUS MJD is done for, his knees are shot he might still have the heart and willingness to play but I don't think he can be the Monster he was in '09... but hey, it's worth a shot I guess... looks like the Shanahan fever is spreading down south...

    Yes MJD's health concerns me too, but he'll be fine to start the year and they are returning 4 of their starting 5 O-linemen. I'm just not a fan of Hasselbeck whatsoever and TEN have a lot of new coaches/schemes. Also opening up on the road...

    I'm just sayin this game is far from a lock for TEN....especially after they over-compensate on the new line.

    If you saw Garrard in the preseason this shouldn't be a shock. He was terrible and ailing with his back every other play.

    is it? once you have a mediocre quarterback that has reached his full potential, its probably a sign that your team wont get much better

    it is a smart move to bring young talent in and give them play time, that is the only way they will improve and form a good team in the future, they wont get better sitting on the bench while some hack plays the game
