If you don't like it, GTFO......You guys act like being "a pro" is big time and means anything ($200....LOL).....I play through a local because I am 100% to get paid and pick and choose my odds from any reputable sports book. I have seen a lot of non-pros give tons of great information, while some "pros" on here are complete morons. And vice-versa. Get over yourselves.

If you pros really want to be big time and show that you have money to burn go spend the 99 bux or whatever it is a month fezzik charges at his place for the privilege of not only posting there but seeing all the genius comments he and his band of stooges will grace you with.

If they limited the posts non pros could make this place would die in less than 3 months. paid posting forums dont work. who the hell will pay to post at one place when there are still a half dozen places around they could move to?

Besides 200 bucks is also a joke. if these books are so top notch and the 'rewards' for being a pro are so frigging awesome then it should be a grand minimum. Or an option to donate 500 bucks to a charity. People act like 200 bucks is some great benchmark in telling how successful someone is. Some people spend that on their phone bill a month FFS.

But it looks better than 100 and isnt a really difficult amount for the average degenerate who wants to look important can maybe scrounge up. While 500 would look better and might not be all that difficult, it is enough money to post up that if someone went on a decent run could cripple these so called stellar sponsor books, then it would expose the whole charade. Some guy goes pro with 500 runs it up to 25K-30K on a nice run tries to cash out and gets the cold shoulder. But then again the way these dumps limit withdrawal amounts and schedules that exposure is already very apparent. Any book that doesnt let you take all your money out at once is a good one not to play at in the first place. Especially if they made you jump through some stupid amount of hoops with a rollover criteria for throwing you a 'bonus' for signing up with them.

They should be thankful you posted u enough money so they could pay guys off rather than making you roll over your money before you can cash.

That was always my favorite pass time. Calling these shit books who offered these massive bonuses and telling them I wanted to deposit 5-10K into their book but didnt want ANY bonuses, I just wanted to bet their lines for their limits and have the ability to take the money out whenever I wanted to.

But that is akin to the whole points and freebies mentality. The couldnt understand why someone wouldnt want a bonus, but in the same breath they want to avoid bonus whores and scammers by making up stupid roll over rules. So to me it was a compromise, I dont want any bonuses but I dont want a roll over either. So just like points, I dont want them in the first place but if the system gives them to me then dont complain that I got them, or even if I use them at some point.

    dont answer that
Exactly- I'm not knocking being a pro,but some of these fools wear that shit like a badge. That $200 member shit makes you above all. Get real fools. Some people may like their shit private. Being a pro is a option not a demand. It's not a dick measuring device ,so get the **** over yourself. I'm happy you feel so ******* proud though.

there is no way a local is "100%" to pay anyone. locals in every major city in the world have decided to close up shop and not pay with no notice whatsoever. on the contrary, nobody has ever been stiffed from a sbr a rated book.

i can't see the point of people that only bet with locals being here.
do you know what sbr stands for?

it's not an abbreviation for Sammy the Bookie on Regent st.
it's an abbreviation for SPORTSBOOK REVIEW.

sportsbooks are websites where you actually send money to bet on games, this site was established to rank the customer service and payout ability of those websites and to help people with issues related to ONLINE SPORTSBOOKS.

I have played on SBR books before, but have been with a local for 2 years.....It works for me and I trust him 1000x more than some book halfway around the world......It's not only about trust, but about convenience.....How does it bother you that I like this forum to discuss sports, betting tips, etc? Do you really give a fukk if I'm betting thru a local, at Vegas, or on 5Dimes?

no i don't really care where you bet.

i DO care that 1000 people that never help out sbr take advantage of the free contests to reduce the payouts to those of us that gamble regularly online and are the intended beneficiaries.

and non-internet players hanging around players talk is kind of like going on amazon's website to review movies and games that you buy at best buy, not terrible but not really as intended either.

How do you know any of this to be true??

SBR can set up the site any way they want. What part of this don't you understand? They can lock out non pros whenever and where ever they want. Give it a fukin break and spend your passion on something of more substance and not worry about how someone else decides to run their business.

Well, get over it....gotta be more important things in your life going on to complain about

You started this thread talking about Non-Pros bragging on the forum.....Now its the FREE contests you're concerned about too?

Many pros and non-pros make this forum one of the best around to talk sports betting.....If SBR wanted it any differently I'm sure they would change it......Until then, worry about more important issues. Seriously, what a joke.

After reading many of the suggestions in this thread, I'd swear that half you guys are a part of Obama's economic team. Non-pros have the potential to be pros...tah dah! People that visit the forum are prospective customers...tah dah! Traffic equals increased ad revenue..tah dah! If you morons had it your way and you limited non-pros from interacting on SBR, then you'd lose a significant segment of SBR's traffic to competitors, or it would be tough to convince a non-pro to become a pro because their automatically shunned. Personally, SBR is a genius as they have created a community that has adopted how they generate their revenue as symbolism of status, or e-worth. SBR should release its genius and create a SBR PRO only sub-forum, or club. It would surely help to ensure that you SBR-Pro Status schmucks would be even more loyal to the current system. I dream of creating a business where I can trick clients into associating my service with their having status or worth...SBR is truly brilliant.

Mike - what would SBR be without the dribblers? Some of the biggest mouth-drooling fools on this site have "SBR PRO" under their usernames... and some of the insightful posters don't. Don't like what some posters continually post... just block them or not read their threads.

Why do you care what we do? If it was hurting SBR don't you think they wouldn't offer this to non-pros? I understand your point of view but I think you're being a bit narrow minded and are implying that SBR does not know what they're doing. How exactly does a non-pro taking advantage of a free contest offered by SBR to pro's and non-pro's hurt you or SBR? You say we aren't helping SBR then why don't they do something about it? Maybe they know something you dont

if you are that against non-pros posting then you should pull for your own sbrpro subforum.

it would of course be detrimental to sbr to limit their traffic in the suggested fashion.

i think some of you guys take what i say WAY too seriously.
it's an internet forum for god's sake

funny that people get so mad, start calling sbr pros (or non-pros) schmucks, morons, etc etc.

yes sbr knows what they're doing but hanging around here for years and taking advantage of points/contests/poker/etc without putting any money online is like going to a free zoo (that relies on donations) all the time without giving them any money. nothing illegal or against the rules about it, i think it just helps with karma to do things the right way - but i completely understand the non-pros' points.

There ya go boys, Stevie, hit it right on the old rooster.

Really doesn't make sense either to deposit 2 dollars in a risky off-shore with the possibilities of waking up on a Saturday morning, like a few weeks back and my account was closed and moved else where. Was with BetJamica for many years and I didn't see that coming. Didn't like it, but what are you going to do about it.
So Mike, don't beat down the non-pros unless you know and you will never know everybodys individual story. Sounds to me you are insecure in your own wagering issues, and looks to be that way too......by the amount of points you have. I smell DEGEN all over this thread...........

so you tell me i won't know anyone's story yet you tell me MY story

perhaps you could do 5 seconds of research on my point history and see that i borrow points from thaddeus to buy stuff in the store and then pay him back with my 12 pts/day, trivia, poker, etc. much easier than building up points slowly.

i have bought 9000+ points worth of stuff this year and you have bought ZERO?

what's $200? and there's no way it's a "risky off-shore" - if it's an sbr sponsor there is NO WAY you are getting stiffed. sbr john would pay you every cent out of his own pocket if someone sbr tells you to deposit to stiffs.

texas mickey and others, that's $840 worth of purchases in 8 months + i'm paying a lot interest to thaddeus.
so if you think it is "throwing away" $200 then you are absolutely crazy - it's not hard to get $100/month of benefits of being pro.

so let's put a limit of one post per day or at the very least one new thread per day for non-pros in players talk

if you were betting a few grand a game would you care about 12 points a day?

yes! and it's not just the daily points. look at my purchases, that's $1000+/year - doesn't matter how much you're betting that money is still important to me and plenty of others.

even if you have $1 million in the bank, do you put premium gas in your car because it's "only" an extra $3? or do you get a 2nd dinner at applebee's that you're going to eat 1 bite of because it's "only" $10? do you buy all the premium channels on cable (hbo/sho/max/starz) even if you know you're not going to watch them? if you see $1 on the ground do you not pick it up?

the guys that don't care about small piles of money quite often don't end up having large piles of money.

I smell DEGEN all over this thread...........

hey texas mickey want to comment again about my points?
while you dork around with 40 and 50 point moves, i have 3000 on the az cardinals tomorrow (which is still peanuts i know, but you acted like having 800 made you awesome)...

Points are cash. They're worth 7 cents each. Everybody that doesn't live in the "home of the free" are able to sell them for cash.
