Seriously. Let's be real. No other team is playing at their level. This team has no visible weakness. They've had bullpen problems last few years but it appears they've addressed that problem. Let's hear some arguments as to what team realistically can defeat them in a 7 game series?

Yes. I can see the Braves giving them problems but Phillies are sitting comfortably with an 8.5 game lead in the NL east. I'm looking forward to this matchup come October. All questions can be answered then.
You do realize that the MLB format is not like the English Premier League. The one with the best record doesn't win the WS. So the only records that matter once the regular season is over are the head to head series with the teams you are facing in the playoffs.Originally Posted by Mikail

And what happens if the game is tied 2-2 and we are in the 7th inning and the starting pitchers are out of the game? Who has the advantage now? Because most playoff games are decided in the 8th and 9th inning or later.
that's when the bullpens come into play. If you look at the numbers Madson and Bastardo are getting it done. As a Phillies fan this season we can finally have some confidence with then pen going into the playoffs.

Braves have the best bullpen in the majors and if the game is tied after 7th they would throw you lefty righty or righty lefty with Venters and Kimbrel and destroy you.

Phillies hitting is either hot or cold. Tonight was a prime example of them not hitting but look at the first 2 games of the series. They can hit!
