No, but what they will look at is innings pitched and complete games.. which yes, this game in-particular played part in both...

Doc has had one less start bc of the rainouts the phills have had ... So he has more innings pitched per start.. only one less overall in less games

It's Kershaw, doesn't matter he pitches for a middle of the pack team.
The Cy Young award is for the best pitcher is each league, period, not the best pitcher on a team that is going to the playoffs, etc. etc.

The best pitcher this season in the NL is Kershaw.
He has the best earned run average, it's not a big lead, but it's the best.
(Don't give me "look at the division he pitches in crap either)
He's tied with Cole for the best WH/IP for any starter in the league.
He's tied with Kennedy for the most pitching wins in the league.
He has the most strikeouts in the league.

There is no debate, he leads or is tied for the lead in virtually every pitching category the voters look at.

The "look at his divison" crap might not mean anything to you, but you are not the one voting.. that fact may be a deciding factor if in the end they have the same amount of wins and a basically identical era.. if doc has a full 9 innings more pitched in the same amount of games, but kershaw has a better whip, then yea, the divison they play in and the team going to the post season, unfortunately, will need to come into play.. and if it does, doc will get the nod. Hopefully one other the other emerges as a heavy favorite in the last few weeks so thay the decision is a no brainer..

Cliff Lee is easily the best pitcher in the NL.

If I remember correctly, he has the lowest run support among all NL starters this season.

Fukkin guy has an ERA of less than 2 and no wins to show for it because the Phillies can't score for him.

If he was on the Yankees he would be undefeated.
