    Pirates lineup today is pathetic...

5:05 game. My pirates may be lying down. No Walker, Jones or Doumit.

You get Harrison at 2b, Mckenry catching and Steve Pearce at 1b. These are even less major league hitters than what you guys think already plays here in the burgh.

    Just saying.....

So why in the hell are they not +120 WV?

This is one of the weirdest lines I've seen since, well, every Brewers' game vs. the Mets over the weekend.

I'm guessing Karstens has been enough to keep the line down. Is there any other possible reason?

Braun and Fielder are both playing game 1. Pirates have ATLEAST 4 easy outs with this lineup.

I would say huge trap, but shit...I can't wrap my head around the Pirates winning this game. That's without even factoring in the Brewers absolute dominance over Pittsburgh.

I'm not trying to over think it though.

Neither can their replacements. Only Mckenry is a defensive upgrade. This is still a downgraded pirate lineup.

Brew Crew under 4.5 might be the play.

why do you make this stuff so difficult???

red hot brewers vs struggling pirates
brewers have owned pirates over last 3 years
brewers coming off 3 great wins, pirates coming off a brutal loss

this is an easy pick, stop overthinking things...pirates will likely get swept in this series

We'll see how "easy" this is by the end of the day.

I repeat -- Milwaukee TT under 4.5 might be the best play for Game 1.

you think this is one of the weirdest lines because the line is off by 9-14 cents according to your assumption

where do all these posters come from who watch line moves 5 hours a day and think they have it all figured out.
23000 posts in one year, you have to be one of the biggest losers posting here and i'm not talking about money.

Play may be a million on crew game one. If they lose 5 million game 2.

Milwaukee is 44-11 against Pittsburg in 55 games over the last 3 years

the best play is - 170 series line for the first 3 games... Milwaukee is gonna sweep this series (even if they don't, pigs will fly out of my ass before a struggling Pittsburg team will beat milwaukee in 2 out of 3 games)

Oh and your under 4.5 play is friggin terrible, milwaukee's bats are red hot and they have hit karstens just fine in the past... Not to mention this is a road game so the brewers are guaranteed 9 at bats... I got milwaukee winning this 6-2

Hurdle is also not planning on using Veras or Hanrahan.

    also this ^^^^^^^^^^^^^

no veras or hanrahan in today's games. Even if it's miraculously close in the first 7 innings or so, milwaukee will win it late with their vastly superior bullpen

I just don't understand how you can look at a series like this where one team has annihilated the other over a 3 year period, where one team is red hot and the other team struggling badly

...and you want to play the team total under for the team that's hot???

what kind of retarded reasoning is that?? Is a part of being a "sharp bettor" saying "NO" to free money in situations like this??

Yea, but he's still option number one. Can't count on Resop or Veras anymore either.

he's still their best reliever, that bullpen without hanrahan or veras is a disaster

milwaukee has a great chance for a sweep today

Yesterday, I had a 4-2 record (Up about 300 dollars) and I consider that a terrible day

and yet I probably made more money on my terrible day than you have made in the last month of betting

It is a strange line, almost to good to be true. As Adm. Akbar says "IT'S A TRAP!". I'm leaning towards the Pirates in Game 1 but it's pure emotion and there's no value betting it at +105. Brewers drop game 1 and then sweep the series.

That line-up is not the Pirates packing it in, it is called a double header.

Not the fake day night double headers that go on now, but a true double header.

Guys don't really pay 18 straight innings these days.

Having said that, took Brewers OVer 5 +105 in game 2.

What was the line supposed to be? Both teams have the same record ( mil road/pit home). line is about right on and game result is pretty close.

Just stay away. I don't know what's going on with Brewers, maybe having roid parties instead of stripper parties, but there's no way I'm putting $$ against them.

I was hoping Pirates won G1, then chase Brewers the rest of the series, but it's vice-versa and a much trickier situation.

If I play anything, chase the under for the series, especially G2.

2 for 10 with 3 k's. Both hits coming from Harrison. Steve Pearce litterally has struggled to foul pitches off all year. I think he has a picture of Bob Nutting satisfying a donkey somewhere...there's no other reason he should be able to keep a job.

    WTF are you talking about??

brewers have now won 45 of 56 games against the pirates

betting on these games is the equivalent of going to an AtM machine

I think today's line proves that yesterday's was a mistake.

    Estrada vs. Ohlendorf

    Milwaukee -138

and that's with pittsburgh sending a better lineup out there.
