    I need iphone help!!!!!!!!!!!

I sold my iphone 3gs on ebay. Never had a problem with it. Yesterday, I went and erased all of my personal information from the phone and wham, bam, boom, it has locked up. And it has stayed locked since yesterday. I have held the power and home button simultaneously to fix it. I need help, if it doesn't get fixed, I lose over 300 dollars. Help me please. I am mad and nervous about this.

Sometimes you have to hold both buttuns for 30 seconds. Try resetting with the power cord plugged in.

What do you mean locked up? As in it won't turn on? Or you get an error on the screen? Can only make emergency calls? Need more details here, pal.

Only the Apple logo shows up on the screen. Won't power on/off, no home screen, nothing. Just an apple logo and itunes doesn't recognize it when it is plugged in.

u need to enter dfu mode...google it.

if the phone keeps rebooting then when the phone first lights up with the apple logo HOLD the home button forever until ur pc recognizes it. make sure itunes is open during this. if it ask you to restore the iphone then you are good.

i fix iphones all the time.

My advice to take it to apple store. I had the same problem and end up being firmware was maessed up and the phone went into recovery mode and iTunes will not recognised it. I then reloaded it onto antoher pc with Itunes and luckily my iphone was discovered and it did a recovery firmware download and restored my phone with the latest OS. If you have another PC would recommend you try it on a new pc installing itunes from scratch to see if it auto detects.

Yea, i would suggest to take it to the apple store. Might be something real simple those dudes can fix right away. I would NOT try to open the battery like some suggested.

When you plug it into your computer, does iTunes detect it?

When you plug it into the wall using the wall adapter, does it charge properly?

You need to do these two things. If neither gets you past that Apple logo, go to the store.
