Here is why super rich should pay more taxes.......

They own America and our politicians. Anyone who does not believe the Corporations runs shit is ignorant..... These politicians (almost all republican and democrat) get elected with the help of one sector of big biz or another. "The people" have nothing to do with it. Big defense contractors and oil men ran up the deficit with Bush in office and now all the bleeding heart trust fund rich liberals are running it up with Obama and his bull shit social programs. They put these people in charge and forced their hands to spend one way or another. The lobbies and corporatins bought these guys and gave them their positions in exchange for poll and policy support. Rich corporate guys got richer under repubs and rich bleeding hearts got bigger gov't and more social spending with Obama. They pull the strings and got the spending that they supported and pushed for and now they want the average citizen to pay for their agenda..... They are not paying "more" or baring the burden of someone else, quite the contrary. They want US average middle america to pay for their bull shit for profit policies pushed through owned politicians and give everybody at the bottom policies by the rich liberal elites. Can't deny any of this... Discuss.

Don't be fooled either the people that push dems to victory in politics are just as ridiculously wealthy as the people that push repubs to victory. They each have an agenda that hurts the nation as a whole and neither wants to take financial responsibilty. Let the average little guy foot their bill is the plan.

Mega-Rich don't pay more taxes. They don't pay 25% payroll taxes. They only pay 15% from investment income. That's why they get paid $1 a year salary but with 1,000,000 stock options so they can pay only 15% investment tax.

They profit based solely on the policies the politicians they pay to get elected impose. All americans get a bit of "trickle down" but the guys at the top did not just make fortunes on pure luck or good ideas....... They made it off the american political and judicial system. They are indebted far more than 15%, 20% 40%....... They owe a large part of their wealth to help pay for the disaster they created. They already have fortunes beyond belief that no one man or even generations of their offspring could spend or need. Time for them to take responsibility.

But if you tax the guys who make 10, 50, 100, 500 million a year there is not going to be any more food on the table for them! They would starve.

Yet to hear any dispute. I take a common sense approach these days. Both parties are scum. For the conservatives whom claim they support "social responsibility" and taking care of yourself guess what you are not "taking care of yourself" you are greasing the wheels of the politicians and letting us "take care" of you. And the liberal elites, why should me, the guy making 40-50k, a year pay a bunch of money in taxes to support the guy making 12k a year when you are making more money than you could ever spend? You support his ass if thats what you want. COMMON SENSE

The more I think about this, I guess it would be fair to the working class? However, it should have been policy sooner then now. Now, it looks like politics and vote hunting on Obama.

I understand, under Reagan, the ultra-rich did pay more taxes?

, it does not even need to be permanent. As far as the current debt is concerned the rich created it by forcing politicians to spend spend spend on both sides. One side spent on one thing and the other side spent on other things. Both got what they wanted and made a bunch of $. The average American just wants to go to work, make a lving, support their family, own a home one day and maybe be able to enjoy a few luxuries they earn. The Repubs want to pad their pockets with every penny they can for as long a period as they can even though they are already wealthy beyond belief, the liberal elites want to give everyone who does not want to work or is less fortunate a free lunch but they want everyone elseto help pay for it. Its like walking down the street and seeing a homeless guy walking over to the hotdog vendor and telling him to give the guy a free meal. how about you buy the meal and give it to him, why should everyone else take a loss so you can "feel good" about yourself.

Neither side wants class warfare. Absurd to even say this. They both LOVE the status quo. Back and forth back and forth while they maintain power and wealth. The democratic leaders in America ARE NOT some jo-shmo welfare baby homeless bums. they are every part as rich and arogant as the far right conservatives. The rich need to pay for the nation they sucked dry. After we are back to where we started they will still have vast fortunes and a comfortable enviornment to go back to biz as usual.

Agreed...... I am not talking about average "succesful" people. I am talking about the money hoarding greedy guys who buy and sell politicians. The guys with the power and influence who got us into this mess, the super rich. Even 5 million is not egregious although they should pay more than they currently do. 10-20 Million or higher need to be paying SIGNIFICANT amounts in the short term at the very least and then a reasonable amount afterwards. I think the concept the rich won't put people to work if they have to pay more taxes is ridiculous because by putting people to work they expand biz and make more money. It is not like The guy who makes 20 Million a year is not going to be able to hire people because he got taxed 7 million and only has 13 million left over . He is still loaded and if anything the more he expands and makes it will make up for the tax increase if he wants to continue to hoard cash.

^ Most don't think of it this way but you are correct, noone really disputing any of these facts yet either. Obviously the first step is stopping insane spending from both sides but to get out of the hole the country needs a quick revenue bump or else it will be a long drawn out affair getting back on track. I can stop buying today but I still have to come up with the cash to pay back for what I bought the last decade.

Im with you 1000% percent top gamer. The ultra rich need to pay their fair share and stop pussyfooting around and bypassing laws and killing people, hiring mofos for cheap ass labor and not giving a fuk, all in the name of GREED. One might argue oh dems just want a class warfare, but really what I want is a nationwide revolt against shady asss policies. If that means some kind of breaking the law to bring change, we shall march in the streets and protest and make the politicians fear us!

I've stated the same stuff you are and have been bashed because of it. They say I'm bitter
and I'm down on my luck. It's not about me, it's about us. Without us they won't be rich.

I know I wouldn't want my police to take bribes and look the other way when a rich guy gets
in trouble. Why are our politicians taking contribution (bribe) money from corps? Don't we pay
    them enough?

Corps giving money to these guys is the same as the mob putting cops on their pay roll.

Since money talks and bullshit walks, maybe we should form a group of ordinary people
with our own agenda. Everyone contributes to it. We will buy our own politicians who will help us.

I can't believe we (the US) call other govts corrupt.

Unfortunately they have done such a good job dividing us they have conquered us. just look at every political thread here... "Screw you teabaggers" or "fock you lazy democrat socialists" all while those who really run things sit back and laugh counting their billions. Divide and conquer. keep the masses pre-occupied and blaming entitites (the policial parties) that really mean nothing and are just a smoke screen for corporations. Now corportations may have helped to build America but they got greedy like most do at some point in their progression and turned us from a thriving growing economy into a host for them to leach off of. Why work hard and build wealth for the people in the country, yourself and the corporation when you can put forward politicians whom will cut out those pesky underlings and you can make that fortune a whole lot quicker.

Not only us, look at our elected officials, from the prez on down. It was bad before Obama
did a closed door deal with Obama care.

Because of that, IMO, the Repub's have been against everything he proposes and will do
everything in their power to oust him, even if it means to collapse the markets, economic growth, jobs or our credit rating.

Warren Buffett needs to step up to the plate.

This billionaire is crying because he and other "Super Rich" don't pay enough in taxes.

Here is a little known secret.....the US Treasury has a program where regular citizens can cut them a check that goes straight to reducing the deficit.

Since Buffett is worth about $50 Billion, why don't he just cut them a check for about $5 Billion, and stop crying like a bitch about not paying enough taxes?

Appropriate tax policy, by taxing the super rich more? That's still a drop in the bucket. Tax richest 400 Americans 50%, it will raise roughly $50 billion... only $1.25 trillion to go to be balanced

    Cut baby Cut

Cut conservative programs like defense and democrat special interest programs and everything in between until they spend what they take in. Same as me and you would have to do. Raising our salary, or their(govt) salary by taking more from us is not an option. You will not help the economy by removing more money from it by way of more taxes. Cut until you spend what you take in.

Topgame knows the score. Good work Sir.

My question is, how do we fukk them up for the damage they have done? There are ways, but it would mean sacrifice on the part of the average citizen. I think we should get out in front of the curve, as a change is coming either way. We must look like such pussies to the rest of the world by sitting by, as a nation, and doing nothing.

You have started the movement Brother and I am on board.

Rich are gonna do whatever they want. They're always gonna be two steps ahead of everybody.

Our solution: TAKE OVER THE WEAK NATIONS AND STRIP THEM OF THEIR GROSS NATIONAL PRODUCT
hell, we spend more cash on our military then anybody else, let's start getting one helluva return on our military investment by beating the shit out of all these menacing little shit countries.
    Problem freakin solved.

That is what he is saying. Everyone who is making more than $1,000,000 per year should cut a 10% check and give it to the governent so they would be paying 25% in taxes like 99.7% of Americans instead of 15% they pay now.

top gamer I agree both parties are messed up big time. It is like you pick the worst of the two instead of picking the best of two and that is a big difference here. I do think Warren Buffett was right when he said he pays less than his employees because of the tax rate difference between investment income and working for a living income. That to me needs to be reformed seriously. I do think he is right that the wealthy making income in this way need to pay more. If you are making $1 million or more then you should pay the same tax rate no matter if it is investment income or working for a living income. That sure would get more income in to the government which is badly needed at this time. I just think it is way out of balance right now because of this.
