    New NFL Kickoff Rules-

Will this have a drastic effect on totals? Not sure what to make of the 5 yard running start instead of the 10 yard running start. Will teams actually net a better field position off of this change? I expect a ton of touchbacks, what's that gonna do for the game. Anyone have any interesting articles on this or other thoughts?

Could be something to test in the early weeks if Vegas (which I doubt) underestimates this.

This has been debated upon on these forums many times. I'd link the threads, but why bother. Some suggest lower point totals. I suggest a slightly lower point total overall, but a higher point total with teams with a real threat returning the ball. We'll see when it happens, but I like my ideals that I posted on when it was changed and there were some dissenting opinions that believed it would mean upwards of 6 points/game difference. There's some good debate, tho. IMO, search it up. We won't know til it happens, however. I do believe that the point change is minimal, at best, overall. I don't feel like going over it again as to why.

Exactly. The games will still be decided on the final drive in 50% of games like in the past.
