lemart, if i feel that the dow jones will go down even more, how do i short sell dow jones? Is there a stock ticker for dow?
Sounds all well and good in theory, but banks aren't just handing out quarter of a million dollar loans nowadays.
I'm also not a fan of borrowing money to gamble, which is exactly what the stock market is.
Usually in order to sell short you must have a margin account with atleast $5000 .Just short the whole Dow 30 you will be fine
what's the stock ticker for dow 30? is it DOG?
or would i have to short each of the 30 companies seperately?

if you have many years before you want to retire, its a good time to get into riskier investments like the stock market, the closer you are to retirement, the opposite financial planning should be practiced.
Buy farmland
Monitor if ur planning on shorting stocks make sure u have a stop option to limit losses if things go awry...

Jake Lemont, we are in a very unique time right now. This is the time to do it if you are.... The Stock Market, Business, etc etc etc...Extend yourself as much as you can, doesn't matter if it goes to hell or not... This is when millionaires are made and millionaires become billionaires.
