STUNNED pensioner Joe Young has beaten odds of 67 million to one to strike two holes-in-one within an hour at Brisbane's Oxley Golf Club.

And just two days before Monday's pair of aces, the 73-year-old had thought about ending his 40-year love affair with the game.
"I was just fed up with hitting it poorly and now I've come up with this," Mr Young enthused.
"It's like someone up there has slapped me on the back to keep playing."
The Scottish-born Mr Young kept playing golf for fitness after a heart attack several years ago.
An 11-marker who had landed three previous career holes-in-one, his freak double began when he aced the par three fifth of 154m with a six-iron and followed up with a pitching wedge which jumped into the cup on the short par three ninth on a windless afternoon.
"I didn't see the six iron bounce in. I thought it was pretty close but lo and behold it was in the hole," Mr Young said.
"At the next par three, I said to my partner, 'Wouldn't it be ironic if this went in too?' Two jumps and the ball went in with a wedge. I couldn't believe it. What are the odds?"
You have more chance of winning Lotto twice than reproducing Mr Young's feat.
Remarkably, there were two recorded cases last year. A 75-year-old Englishman also recorded two holes-in-one in the same round in Essex while a 16-year-old American matched the feat in Texas.
"One last thing," the canny Scot added.
"I've got a reputation, as a Scot, for playing with balls I normally find. I opened a new one, a Srixon 2, for this," he beamed.
