    Phone betting in Vegas

I've been hitting up Vegas every Saturday making plays at the Orleans and saw they have a phone betting system....anybody know about this? I'm currently in the system at the Orleans and my plays are monitored pretty close but they are pretty cool with me.....my question is if I were to rent a place in Vegas would I legally be able to use this system?

I'm really tired of making the weekly trip up and Legendz, albeit a great book, doesn't give me the limits I need. Since I've never found a trustworthy local....this seems like an option....input would be appreciated. Thanks.

from what i heard.. is that you jus have to be in the state of nevada and you can use the mobile betting system. ...its jus for people that are far away from vegas, they have to go to the casino for the setup and initial dep.

I have heard from a few people that it is more of a hassle than it is actually worth.

You could use my address if you want to give it a shot, but I think you'll most likely have problems with the ridiculous laws.
I would think just knowing someone in Vegas and setting up a partnership of sorts where they make your bets for you would be a more effective way to do this, but then you get into the issue of finding a trustworthy person in Vegas, and believe me that is harder than it would seem. I've been burned in this town way too many times for way too much money.

Back on topic: For the Hilton SuperBook contest (and other contests around town) you can declare an "agent" and the agent then is allowed to go in each week and make your contest plays for you.

THe hardest part would be the phone
I do not know if they just accept Nevada land line calls or can you just use a phone with a Nevada exchange even if mobile
The address thing is pretty simple..forging a utility bills /drivers lic is real easy

SS# they could nab you on if they use that as your address verification

From what I understood is they put an app on your phone and the app will not work unless you are in the State of Nevada.

OP where are you driving from? Seems like a nightmare unless you can't tie up money overseas.

You have to have NV id and proof of residence in state. A cable, power, gas bill is sufficient. Have a computer account with Stations that I use sometimes if line is decent. They finally increased their limits across the board, but I am restricted on amounts I can wager through account in cfb. Have a friend that is not working who would open an account if anyone was interested from out of state. He is trustworthy and I would guarantee the funds if he got out of line.

They give max 3k per side on NFL and I think 1k on totals. Bases is 2k. These are all via the computer service and phone. In person it can be more depending on the bettor. I was restricted there because I hit them for 2 middles in a week and cleaned up in 2007 bowls. I can verify limits tomorrow by popping in and asking as I live 5 min away. Haven't used my computer account there as their bases lines usually stink. Collecting is easy though.

JJ they only take cash or chips to fund account. I highly doubt my limits will be raised enough to put down for others on it without having to lower my wagers. My unemployed friend has been just betting bases through one of my offshores. Once his leg heals from car wreck I am getting him a job at XS tending bar so he can get health insurance. That will likely mean he'll only be able to place bets before work as Stations doesn't have a mobile app yet. They base it all through Cox cable internet and phone. I'm sure there are ways to beat the system for account set up but it is definitely not worth having GCB and FEDs on your ass for.

Thanks, but he would've gotten a gig on his own somewhere. Just been out of work since a car accident destroyed his leg. Rather him working for me than some other place. I know he won't steal from the bar.

The Station website is a VPN connection. Our I.T. girl at the office said it is very tough to manipulate it to a mobile, especially an Apple product as it isn't yet set for IOS.

The Station Casino sports connection account is done two ways
either by phone in which you need one of their pagers which gets their signal
or by the computer in-which you need cox cable internet service no other
needs to be cox las vegas.
    I have both setups.
To set up a account you need state id, and utility bill
The computer betting set up would be difficult but not impossible to get around
also need to be able to eject and reinsert CD the give you in the computer.
the pager would be the easiest to get around if you know someone in las vegas
then you could call and make your own bets

The phone account at the Orleans is a mess. Line is always busy. Takes forever to check lines and place wagers.

As long as the call is made within the state, it's legal. Same with Stations Connections (phone/internet).

Where are you coming from? If its southern California, why wouldn't you just stop in Primm? Or Arizona, Laughlin? Why come all the way to Vegas anyway?

You would need a NV ID and proof of residence. Casinos don't want heat from gaming control over sportsbook.

Haven't tried the pager/phone system. They told me calls would have to be placed from the land line modem is connected to. Did they change things or did I not understand what the were saying? The one time I called them to dispute a a grade on a bet took forever. They graded my bet on Mayweather a loser when he beat Mosely. Also don't like that they don't have option to buy 1/2 point online even if it isn't what they call a key number.

When I lived in Vegas I had an phone account with the Mirage....When signing up I needed to bring in all kinds of identification, electric bills, etc. to prove you're a resident of the state. The system was pretty sophisticated...only could call from my home phone. All of these so called experts around here who talked about a "work around" are blowing smoke us your butt.

Was just informed that won't work. The phone/computer sports thing is heavily scrutinized by GCB. No casino is going to risk fines and possible licensing hearings over sports betting. It is not worth it for any Vegas casino.

You can make it look like you are calling from the land line, it will show up on the bill even with the fake number. I don't think they can tell the difference.

http://www.spoofcard.com or other sites probably too

I never had a las vegas land line my cell in 702- las vegas
I believe you can call from any number to place a bet but that is where
the pager comes in. you call enter account number and pin
they send you a page on that pager they give you a pass code
while that code is on it's way they will ask you to verify your account balance
then they ask you for that pass code
THE PAGER ONLY WORKS IN LAS VEGAS and is only good for that call
if you hang up and call back new code
so if you know someone in las vegas give them the pager and
when you call have them text, email, or three way call or something to get you
    that code
once that code is in use phone computer system to place bets
they will also fax you the line sheets everyday - yes fax they didnt have a email option
the phone and computer station casino is very limited on bets they allow
basically just game moneyline runline point spread totals paralays
    and i think teasers
I dont remember being able to do halves or quarters, first inning, 1st 5 innings or stuff like that.

Yeah. I was saying stop in Laughlin if you're coming from Arizona.

I don't know the limits in Primm offhand, but none of them are independent books so I wouldn't think that they would be much different than their Vegas counterparts. It would be worth checking out at least.
