    Aside from being overweight, she seems to be getting back to form with each match. As much as I dislike her and even worse, as much as I hate agreeing with Coach, Serena should win the Open... WTA tour is down this year and even a 75% Serena is better than most.

    The conditions could be extremely hot in NY. Serena will probably get a couple night matches that will help but fitness for her will play a major role.

    She probably has to be favored just by default. There are only a few ladies who can win anyway, and most of them are having all kinds of issues now, or have never come through on the big stage.
